Absolutely MUST VISIT. Let me start off by saying Thank you to our Waiter Kerby, Bartender John and the amazing Chef Tony. Came by Sunday evening for dinner, and I have never been so impressed with my entire order. From the service to the food and the drinks, Chapter One sits at #1 in my all time favorites. To start we ordered some seasonal cocktails, the Indian Summer and the Fall Sangria, both expertly crafted. Would order again without hesitation. As for our appetizer we heard great things about the calamari, but decided on the bruschetta. What an amazing take on such a classic dish. Everything was so well balanced the flavors melded perfectly. For entrees we ordered the Shrimp Scampi and the Lobster roll, with a side of Lobster Mac & Cheese and a side of Bacon Mash potatoes. Let me start off by saying I've never had a lobster roll before but this was my definition of perfect. The Scampi honestly blew me out of the water, each bite the flavors develop in your mouth slowly creating something only Chef Tony could create. (Highly recommend) The lobster Mac and cheese was to die for. As I told the chef the lobster in each dish was clearly prepared specifically accordingly to each individual dish and that level of passion and detail clearly came through in the food. Lastly we had the tiramisu for desert, and though I'm not particularly a sweet tooth, there was nothing left on that plate. Never have I had a meal where each and every single item ordered was just as delicious and fantastic as the next. Extremely impressed by the kitchen, thank you all so much again. Lastly shout out again to our wonderful Waiter Kerby for taking such amazing care of us, as well as the friendly warm welcome from John and Tony as well. TLDR; Absolute MUST visit when I'm CT, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Shrimp Scampi, Bruschetta, and Tiramisu, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Chef Tony, Bartender John, Waiter Kerby made the best dining experience I've had to date.

We walked in at 230 this past Thursday and were the only people in the restaurant. The bartender greeted us right away and immediately gave us menus and waters. We ordered the Paradise Lost (think pineapple cream pie) and the Blueberry Mojito. Both drinks were amazing but took a while to get to us. We also ordered two apps: calamari and French onion soup. These were ordered at 235. Shortly after receiving our drinks, the other associate working brought us a taste of truffle fries that the chef had made extra of. These were amazing and very crispy. Unfortunately, the great customer service ended after this. At 320 we still did not have the food we ordered, and we’re not given an update on where it was. During our visit, we were never asked if we wanted another round or needed anything. As we had to be somewhere for 4, we asked for our check and our food was listed although we still did not have it. We asked if it would be ready soon as we were just going to take it to go, to which the bartender responded “we only have one chef I don’t know what to tell you”. I understand places are short staffed however after being the only patrons for the first 20 minutes of our visit, waiting over 40 minutes for two apps that should take 15-20 minutes is unacceptable. We politely asked for the food to be taken off the check as they had no idea when it would be ready. While they eventually agreed to take the food off the check, the attitude received when bringing this to both of their attention was unprofessional. No guest wants to pay for services/food not received. We would come back based on drinks and truffle fries alone, but unfortunately our first experience with their customer service was not up to par.

If you haven’t tried Chapter One in Mystic yet you are definitely missing out… I have been there multiple times now and each experience is better than the last. From the atmosphere to the service and most definitely the food, everything is amazing! If you are a martini drinking the espresso martini is a must!! Melissa was so accommodating and made our night great. For appetizers I had the oysters, so fresh! The mango habanero wings were to die for! Nachos were amazing, all the toppings were fresh and portions were great. We also weren’t sitting there waiting, the food came out fast. For an entree I had the Cajun chicken pasta which was seasoned perfectly along with the portions being big enough to bring home leftovers to enjoy all over again at home! Another entree was the steak dinner I cannot begin to tell you how amazing it was, not undercooked, not over cooked, just perfect!!!! The lobster blt I’m told by one of my girlfriends who had it for dinner was also amazing and fresh ( I’m allergic). After sitting, lounging, and eating with friends, the scene switched from relaxing dining to an upbeat nightlife, but we didn’t feel pushed out at all, we were still able to sit and talk and enjoy the rest of our time there. Before going, make sure to check out the awesome nightly specials they have for different days of the week! Hats off to the chef/kitchen manager Natasha each meal felt like it was made personally for everyone at the table. It was a great night and i’ll deffinetly be visiting more often.

We came here for brunch. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The French onion soup and burger was delicious. Seasoned fries nice and crispy. My lobster roll was just ok.
