Absolutely MUST VISIT. Let me start off by saying Thank you to our Waiter Kerby, Bartender John and the amazing Chef Tony. Came by Sunday evening for dinner, and I have never been so impressed with my entire order. From the service to the food and the drinks, Chapter One sits at #1 in my all time favorites. To start we ordered some seasonal cocktails, the Indian Summer and the Fall Sangria, both expertly crafted. Would order again without hesitation. As for our appetizer we heard great things about the calamari, but decided on the bruschetta. What an amazing take on such a classic dish. Everything was so well balanced the flavors melded perfectly. For entrees we ordered the Shrimp Scampi and the Lobster roll, with a side of Lobster Mac & Cheese and a side of Bacon Mash potatoes. Let me start off by saying I've never had a lobster roll before but this was my definition of perfect. The Scampi honestly blew me out of the water, each bite the flavors develop in your mouth slowly creating something only Chef Tony could create. (Highly recommend) The lobster Mac and cheese was to die for. As I told the chef the lobster in each dish was clearly prepared specifically accordingly to each individual dish and that level of passion and detail clearly came through in the food. Lastly we had the tiramisu for desert, and though I'm not particularly a sweet tooth, there was nothing left on that plate. Never have I had a meal where each and every single item ordered was just as delicious and fantastic as the next. Extremely impressed by the kitchen, thank you all so much again. Lastly shout out again to our wonderful Waiter Kerby for taking such amazing care of us, as well as the friendly warm welcome from John and Tony as well.
TLDR; Absolute MUST visit when I'm CT, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Shrimp Scampi, Bruschetta, and Tiramisu, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Chef Tony, Bartender John, Waiter Kerby made the best dining experience I've...
Read moreI was looking for somewhere to watch Euro 2020 and this is the first place I found. We requested a table near the TV which had plenty of room for a stroller (as the Americans say). I was delighted to see it was happy hour and with beers ranging from $2 to $5, this was a great time to come. Guinness is $4 at happy hour, my only criticism is the glass it came in and it would taste much better in an actual Guinness glass (speaking from experience). The ambience and decor was great and very comfortable adding to the experience. We ordered some food which took a while to come, not that I was bothered too much. After almost 30 minutes, the waitress came out to tell us that the order had been lost and they had to reprocess the order. Now I’m not giving them 5 stars for this but the way they handled it was fantastic. We were offered a free round of drinks, even off the happy hour menu, and when our food came, the wings we had ordered were replaced with tenders and offered for free along with dessert if we wanted (we didn’t have any). This is customer service at its finest, all the staff were extremely professional and polite and it added to the experience. I am not one to complain if food is a bit late or if an order gets messed up, but I was very impressed with how the staff dealt with this and they did a lot more than needed to. Thank you for doing this and hats off to you for how you dealt with it all. The food was actually very very good. The tenders which we had in lemon jerk were amazing and we had the sliders which were great, the burgers tasted very good and the pulled pork was nice and chewy, which may not be to everyone’s liking. They have lots of local brews on tap worth trying. Great place, great people and i high recommend it, not because they’re good at dealing with errors but because it’s just a good...
Read moreMy husband and I ate at Chapter One for the first time last night because our intended destination was closed. I looked at the menu on our way over and pretty much decided on the Cajun chicken pasta dish. We were pleasantly greeted and sat immediately by Miranda. As she gave us our menus, I asked her if the Cajun chicken pasta was as good as it sounded. I had barely finished asking before Miranda enthusiastically confirmed that it was as good as it sounded. Her response sold me. We asked for an another minute with the menu so my husband could decide on his dinner. As Miranda was taking our drink order, my husband asked if the “AF” in the name Tasty AF meant what he thought it did. Miranda laughingly confirmed that yes, it did, and then proceeded to tell us an amusing story about a customer asking what “AF” meant and that she had to whisper it to them because there were children at the table. Miranda brought our drinks to the table and Tasty AF lived up to its name. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and my husband ordered the Zuppa di Pesce. Miranda encouraged him to have it over the linguine. Both meals were delicious. I would have preferred my Cajun garlic cream sauce to be a little thicker, but that’s just my personal preference. Miranda was pleasantly attentive throughout the meal despite being the only server and having 4 or 5 different tables. We will definitely dine at Chapter One again. While we both enjoyed our meals, for me it was Miranda’s service that seals the deal. I don’t have any difficulty finding restaurants that serve good food. What I find lacking in most places is good service. Miranda was engaging and attentive in a genuine manner, without being overbearing. As I said, we will definitely be back and if you haven’t been, I definitely...
