We havn't been back to BB since they moved. My memory (& I maybe wrong) was it was slightly more upscale or perhaps the clientele of touristy attire seemed to somewhat bring down the ambiance. Overall the atmosphere just seemed more pub oriented than I remember, with zero vibe. It didn't help that the hostess was aloof and just acted like she was doing us a favor by seating us(& yes we did politely request a window table prior to seating...travesty, I know). She verged on being rude, where I literally hesitated to stay. I would never have her at my restaurant greeting guests. Bottom line in this post Covid restaurant scene, mediocre food(fresh pasta in both dishes were wonderfully Al dente, however gummy) I will also add that all food was extremely temperature hot, love that! It still shocks me that for 2 drinks, 2 apps & 2 pasta entrées the bill was north of $125, for food that was just ok. In full disclosure, I have a high bar for food, a 5 star alternative for Linguine Vongole is Pasta Beach, Newport RI w an amazing vibe in their new digs. As far as pasta Bolognese, any great RI Italian restaurant beats this. One important side note on their bolognese, it’s not traditional, (there’s a degree of middle eastern spice) which is fine….but mention it in the menu, my wife(who ordered it) hates middle eastern food and really didn’t care for it.

BRAVO NOT SO BRAVO!! If you want to sit on top of others go here! In the middle of our meal the staff came to setup a 6 top from a 4 top with chairs less than a foot away. We asked for the manager not once but twice and our waitress came back to state that the party is not arriving for an hour. So why setup this table in the middle of someone’s dinner? Why is the manager so busy that she (Sara) can’t come with her own apology. The waitress can’t control the function of greed and I actually feel bad that this establishment puts her into this position. The food was good Thai mussels, scallops with corn risotto (great) and I had the lobster ravioli which was ok as it was heavy on the garlic. Again, the waitress gave us some free ginger ale and not even a visit from this establishments manager. If this is the case then it makes me wonder how much work she has on her hands. This place is VERY LOUD and can’t make a WRONG RIGHT!!!!!

Last year I visited Mystic for an extended weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday and came across Bravo Bravo (or Bravo ovarB as one sign said). After trying the food there it became obvious how appropriate the name was. We tried a variety of apps, entrees, desserts and drinks and were not disappointed in any aspect. My friend ordered the Paloma and instantly became a fan! In fact, she ordered 3 of them that night. I opted for the seasonal Blueberry Thyme fizz cocktail which was a drink with complexity where the experience at the beginning was different from the finish. Some of the memorable dishes were the burrata app, the whipped goat cheese app and the special entree of a short rib and fried egg on top of a bed of Israeli couscous. I liked the way the spices were used to enhance the natural flavors here while adding accents of their own. Looking forward to having another meal here next time I’m in Mystic.

Here's a review for Bravo Bravo Mystic based on your experience: Great Ambiance and Views! We absolutely loved the atmosphere at Bravo Bravo Mystic, especially the location with its fantastic view of the iconic Mystic bridge. Plenty of convenient parking is definitely a plus. We were happy with the vegetarian appetizer options available, and the mocktails were also nicely done. The pasta dishes we ordered were clearly made with high-quality ingredients and were very tasty. While we enjoyed our meal, we would love to see some more innovative vegetarian pasta suggestions (ideally without meat or seafood, and even better if there were vegan options). Additionally, offering a greater variety of vegetarian pasta dishes on the menu would definitely entice us to come back and explore more of their offerings. Overall, it's a lovely spot with delicious food and a wonderful setting!

A nice Italian restaurant in mystic. Make reservations as it was packed on a Tuesday evening. The waitress was really nice and helpful. We sat inside, where the decor was nice, but it was a little dark and hard to hear with everyone talking in the place. We all had a good time and the food was pretty good. We had the goat cheese, rigatoni and gnocchi pomodoro. I really enjoyed the gnocchi, my rigatoni had very little sauce, which might work for some people, but I like a little more sauce to add flavor to the pasta. There is outdoor seating in downtown mystic and some people loved that. Parking was limited at the restaurant, but I found a spot by the river about two blocks away. It’s definitely worth checking out if you are in the mood for Italian.

I’ll start with the great this about this place. Firstly we made an early reservation for about 4:45 and showed up WAY too early at 4:00 and they were super accommodating in seating us. The staff was super friendly and quick with refills. The atmosphere was fun vibe especially as things got a little darker as the sun set. You can tell this is a great local spot. I don’t have many problems with this place but I will say while the food tasted great the portion size on the lobster ravioli was a bit small for the price. Also while we didn’t have a problem since we went super early, I could see parking being a bit of a problem during busier times. All in all I still gave the 5 stars. Those few problems are so small and this place really is fantastic.
