Cosmo Nails & Spa — Attraction in Sunset Hills

I have been to several nail salons throughout my life I have never been more disappointed in my life this place was completely unprofessional. I went to get my nails done and they proceeded to tell me based off of the color and based off of the shape that would make the price go up which is confusing to me because I would think that it would be standard price regardless to shape or color it should not matter the color however I decided to continue with the service which took them over an hour to just give me a full set with just the color because I opted out of getting design because it was taking too long and I had to work I chose to get a matte pink color and the lady which I’m assuming she was The owner was very rude up until the point when I had to leave then she was friendly told her I would be back the next day to finish my service and get my design I booked an appointment before I could even come back the next day I could tell that my nail polish was extremely blotchy I have never experienced anything like this in my life so the next day I come in to tell her and she’s like OK well you’ll have to choose a different nail color for backup her husband tells me the same thing this is not a new nail polish this was their nail polish I don’t understand how they did not notice at any time that this polish would go on blotchy with a matte finish so I decided to opt out of the matte finish which I really liked and then afterwords she continue to go back-and-forth with me about the design that she forgot about the day before I had to pull up the picture again and after she saw it she proceeded to speak into a different language with the other staff members and them laughing as she did my nails and what seemed like and agitated state after finishing it looked like something my little niece or a nephew could’ve done and I could’ve savd my money not to mention they charged me extra for the shape and said I could only get it a certain length if I wanted coffin nails , right before the designs they cut them down when I went back for the design Which defeated the purpose of me getting my nails the length she suggested the day before which hiked up the price of my nails on top of hiking up the price of my nails due to color and the shape I will never in my life go back to this place again I’m pretty sure I’ll have to go get my nails fixed within a couple of days because as I sat there a lady walked in and was getting her nails fixed because she said it fell off from a couple of days ago not to mention this happen yesterday and I thought it was just a one time thing I would avoid this place they charge you a lot of money and it is not a professional atmosphere you could go to your local nail school and get a better job ......

If I could give this business zero stars I would. I made an appointment today to get a french dip manicure b/c I wanted to give this place a try and support a local business. However, that was a horrible mistake. Upon arrival I was immediately met with a rude greeting and stood for 10 minutes before I was helped. When the nail tech finally came over to ask me what I wanted done, I showed her a picture and asked if she could replicate it. To which she replied in a very rude manner, "no I don't do nails like that, ask the guy" and walked away. Therefore I was left to wait on the gentleman as he was finishing up with another client. When he was asked if he could do my nails he said yes. However, that was not the case when we he actually started doing my nails 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. After he completed one hand, I was not happy with the color as it was nothing like the one we had agreed upon. When I expressed my disappointment, as the sign next to the cash register clearly states to do, he immediately told me to get up and move to a different station so I could put my nails in a bowl of acetone to remove them. He then proceeded to leave the building as I was left alone to soak my nails off. He didn't come back to remove my nail, so another woman had to remove them for me. After I washed my hands and came back to get the correct color he proceeded to tell me that he does not have the color I want and that he will not do my nails and basically kicked me out. Why would you have a sign to speak up if you are unhappy, if you are going to get upset and then tell your customers to leave? I mean what kind of nail salon cannot complete a french dip manicure? I have been getting them done since 2001 this is not a new concept. It is not like I was asking for an outrageous design or color. Not to mention that they also add an extra $1.50 surcharge if you use a credit care because they want to force you to pay them in cash. Why, so you don't have a chance to dispute the charge because you know you do a poor job and treat poorly? I wasted an hour of my life tonight. Don't waste your time...

If you are looking to have your nails done, I would strongly advise you to look for another salon. The tech station was very dirty and I dont think any of the items she used on me were clean. I asked the tech for coffin shaped nails and she filed half of my nails to a coffin shape, while others were either squared or somewhere in between. She told me its because my nails were uneven and I should've come in with them even. She cut a few of my cuticles too short to were they bled. The blood was not cleaned off and I have a little blood showing around my manicure. Not the look I was going for. My nails werent filed very well and were very rough on a few edges, when I asked for the edged to be cleaned she again told me it was because my nails were uneven. The polish was put on very sloppily to where my cuticles were flooded and there were gobs of gel stuck under my nails. Even after I asked to have these cleaned out, I was still picking chunks out of my nails after I left. Oh and she took a face time call during my appointment. Seriously, just go somewhere else.
