Hipsy Gypsy — Attraction in Surfside Beach

I live in Central VA, my daughter and I visited this store for the 1st time in 2020, while there on vacation. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! From the moment we stepped in the door, we were welcomed and the 2 ladies, (one I learned to be the owner) were just FANTASTIC! SO friendly and warm, bubbly, and happy to help with anything we needed help with! Their products are VERY high quality and love that they support their local folks as well. We go back every year, and often prefer online, and they are SOOO ACCOMMODATiNG! I left my glasses in there at closing time one day and they happily mailed them to me. I wish they were closer to home, but it's such a treat going there and getting the AMAZING clothes they have, that I just can't find anwhere else. I ALWAYS get major compliments when I wear the awesome clothes I find from there. LOVE LOVE LOVE...

I absolutely love this store and Chandra the owner! This store has the EXACT vibe of the laidback and friendly Surfside Beach!! As a Surfsidw Beach Resident, I support local owned businesses and this store has it all!! Chandra has beautiful and fair priced clothing and jewelry and she is a doll!! I enjoyed my shopping experience both times I visited!! I get compliments on the dresses I bought my first visit and many compliments on the romper I wore to the beach!! Shopping here brings me back to a time when you didn’t have malls and Amazon and you shopped in local stores in your town and got excellent and friendly service!! I never leave reviews but I wanted to for this shop because I was so impressed with the way it was set up and the merchandise they had at such fair prices. I also thought the girls were extremely friendly and nice. The owner and her coworker were both extremely friendly and helpful to my wife and I. They genuinely made us feel so welcome. We are visiting from Boston; my wife saw the store as we were driving by and she wanted to stop in so we did and we ended up spending about $200 and leaving with all kinds of cool stuff including some really nice clothes for my wifey. If we lived here, we'd be shopping there on the regular. Very unique! It just WORKS! 5 Stars! Keep up the great...
