This is how my shower surround walls showed up. Corners were all gnarled up chunks missing out of the side and gouge is on the bottom panel from where the forklift had obviously picked them up. The driver the outsourced the delivery to should not have been driving the box truck as he was unable to get through a 12 ft fence without the guidance of my husband. Only recommendation was for somebody to come back and pick up the damaged product give me a refund and I would need to reorder and set up delivery and pay for everything again. Not worth the hassle. Still need to get parts for the shower remodel that will definitely not be going through Home Depot for any other needs that I have. Placed an order thru Home Depot who outsources Estes for their deliveries who outsources to Accurate Cargo. I had 2 orders coming separately. I had contacted them to let them know i needed a box truck as i have a gate that a semi truck would not fit through. I also asked for a 30min call ahead so i could open the gate for the driver. They also said the item was on a pallet and would need a lift gate. 60 in. x 60 in. x 80 in. 9-Piece Easy up Adhesive Alcove Shower. Delivery was scheduled and when i called at 1:45pm for an update i was told he should be there in about an hour, i called back at 4:30pm for an update and was told the drivers liftgate had broken and was going to need to reschedule. No phone call to let me know about this issue. Good thing i did their customer service job. Rescheduled delivery for next day on the "Hot List", they were unable to let me know when the driver would arrive but i could call back at 7am (thats when they start answering phones) to find out where i was on the schedule. On the morning of delivery i got a text message from driver at 6am saying he would be there in an hour (I turn everything on my phone off at night except for ringer) at 7am i got a call saying driver was 2min away. He arrived in the box truck, liftgate still broken, but was not confident enough to drive it through a 12ft gate opening and asked for me to sign a waiver in case he damaged property. I refused and got my husband to guide him in and out of property for the delivery. He had more than enough room. Husband had to help unload product that was not on pallet and looked like it had been sliding around in back of truck since previous day. Update - 2nd delivery - Shower pan. Was told it was on pallet and weighed 165lbs. Asked again for a box truck. No call ahead and driver showed up in a semi, got a call while i was at work, said he didn't need anyone to be home, no signature Req (Per Estes Express) , no one needed to be there and they could drop off at my driveway. We live in a rural community, my driveway is 300ft long with gate entrance. Driver called while i was at work that he was there with delivery in a semi, had to borrow neighbor and his truck to unload from semi into truck to take down my driveway and deliver. When i called to ask about this they said Estes Express said they did not need anyone home, Did Not need proof of delivery, Did Not need signature and could drop off at my driveway. They said they had NO notes about a box truck or a 30min call ahead. This was 2 seperate deliveries with a total of $2900 in product and they don't need anyone to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband & I went in evening of 3/30/17 to order shades, inquire about doors & water softeners. Couldn't find anyone available to help us. I went back Friday morning 3/31/17. Went to order duplex shades. 1 sales person on phone 2 staring at computer. "Excuse me, could I get some help?" Brief pause before getting eye contact "What do you need?' "I'd love to order some shades." "What are you looking for?" "I'm not looking, I want to place an order." "We have to order a measurement before you can order." "Yes, you have that information & I'm here to give my payment." All so a sudden I was her best friend! Went to door department. Waited until salesperson was available. (I was obviously invisible.). "Could I get some information on interior doors?" "What do you want to know?" "Would you mind getting out of your chair & come over to the display with me?" (Heavy sigh but with some effort he was able to accomplish the task). I left with "it's 'about' this much' to have them factory painted; it's 'about this much' to have them installed". I was obviously interrupting him from something!! Selling was NOT in his job description. Went to look at water softeners. Waited 6 minutes without a salesperson in sight. Was able to find someone in appliances who sent one over . He answered a few questions before he got a phone call regarding water heaters so would send someone else over to help me & left. 5 minutes later salesperson 2 arrived & I was able to get information I went for. Today April 1 went to Peoria store with my husband & got immediate assistance from Eddie,. He got out of his chair immediately & even used the computer to tell us how much our project would cost! Measure has been scheduled & we'll order doors next week. Amazing! I hope you people at Surprise store recognize who you are. I won't waste my time in there again but I will encourage anyone who shops there & is treated like this to do what Eddie suggested & go straight to store manager & complain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am extremely disappointed in the Home Depot in Surprise. My 1st issue is I did a store pick up order for pool fencing and when I went in to pick it up, the customer service woman was very short with me and she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. I will update my review once I verify that the entire order was picked up. It doesn't seem right and I kept telling her that I felt that there were items missing. My 2nd issue is the most upsetting and it has now made me a forever customer of Lowes which is located directly across the street on Bell rd. I went in to Home Depot to purchase a over the range microwave. When I went to the department an elderly worker was on the computer and didn't even look up to acknowledge me. Very friendly, I said, excuse me, where are the over the range microwaves located:, she pointed and said in the back of the store. Once I determined which microwave I wanted, I returned to the same lady and explained that I would like to purchase a microwave, she looked at me and said, "you know we have to order it and don't have any in the store." I told her that was fine, she then told me it would be an additional $59.00 for placing my order and having it delivered to the store........ I was like, What! I told her, I am buying it directly from you and picking it up here, at your store, she told me that it didn't matter. I looked at her and said, no thank you. I will just got to Lowes. She didn't seem to mind as it was obvious that I was inconveniencing her. I have been a long time customer of Home Depot as it has always been my favorite store. Well, not anymore, the customer service is terrible and they don't seem to care that it is terrible. I'm on shock that it was ok to lose a customer to Lowes verses doing the right thing by...
