Posting this review on behalf of my partner. We met Cassandra at Tacoma Pride and my partner was immediately impressed with their solid cuts and fades. They have a regular barber, but hasn't found someplace in Tacoma that really impressed them. Until now.

My partner has social anxiety and panic disorder and was nervous going to a new barber. Cassandra was extremely kind, met them outside, put on relaxing music, and talked through what type of haircut they wanted. The best part is that the haircut - a high skin fade - they received is fantastic.

It's the closest skin fade I've ever seen, and Cassandra gave excellent advice that prevented any razor burn. That was the first time they haven't had razor burn in years! My partner's hair is a huge part of their identity, both as a nonbinary person and as a cancer survivor. They rebooked with Seahorse and Cassandra and are looking forward to their next...

I've had so many bad experiences with cutting my hair that I've let my hair grow out really badly because I didn't trust anybody with it. I was highly anxious (then and in general,) and didn't really know any specifics about the style I wanted.

Cassandra makes a very safe space for anybody, including the anxious gays, and is extremely patient. This was my first androgynous hairstyle and even though I wasn't really sure what look I was going for, she absolutely killed it. I've genuinely never loved my hairstyle so much. If you're reading this, and you're also anxious or have a unique, niche, or specific style, you will not regret coming here. After 11+ years of having basically the same haircut, I wanted to try something new this year.

Cassandra took the time to discuss my new hair ideas and educate me about hair care and styling. This helped me get out of my comfort zone and gave me an extra boost of confidence to try a new pink-inspired look. I’m beyond thrilled with the result and It’s seriously the best skin fade and haircut I’ve ever had. I love how after getting this cut I’ve grown to actually enjoy seeing my whole face and embrace its unique qualities, instead of hiding it and my perceived flaws.
