The Plant — Attraction in Tallahassee

The Plant is one of those Little Wonders that no city should be without. It is run on the Open Studio Model, and is a public all-access Art Studio, Gallery, and Performance/Meeting Space, where members of the general public can come in and work on art projects, display their work, attend meetings of various progressive groups, and socialize.

The Owner/Manager is an art professor, Doctor Paul Rutkovsky, (who has taught at Harvard, MIT, and FSU), and there's a community of students, local volunteers, other helpers, and patrons.

I was visiting a friend in Tallahassee. It's was a beautiful day and we were looking for activities to enjoy. She found a free swap meet type of function at "The Plant". We checked it out and she was very excited with the idea. It impressed me the items available for swapping, trading or to take if you need it.
