A True Hidden Gem in Tallahassee – Nelson’s BurgerBar
I recently took my daughters to Nelson’s BurgerBar for dinner, and I can confidently say this establishment is a true hidden gem here in Tallahassee, Florida. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who went above and beyond to provide exceptional service.
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious options, making it a perfect spot for the entire family. Whether you're craving classic burgers or something more unique, Nelson’s BurgerBar has something for everyone. For the adults, the bar offers a great selection of drinks, and I was particularly impressed with their daily deals, which make enjoying a meal or drink even more enticing.
One of the standout features of Nelson’s BurgerBar is its fun, interactive environment. They have clever games where customers can win discounts on drinks, adding an extra layer of entertainment to your visit. The venue also hosts live music nights, game nights, and broadcasts major sports games, making it an ideal spot for all occasions.
The attention to detail extends beyond just food and entertainment – even the bathroom is uniquely designed with a nightclub vibe, where my daughters and I couldn't resist making a fun dance video. It’s the little things like this that set Nelson’s BurgerBar apart from the rest.
Whether you're a Tallahassee local or just passing through, I highly recommend visiting Nelson’s BurgerBar. It’s the perfect combination of great food, a lively atmosphere, and unforgettable...

I will give them high marks on the burgers, but I cannot cosign they are better than Bird's or the Caboose. But definitely a spot I will frequent often because the burgers are damn good.
One suggestion to Nelson's management: try an al la carte burger. Make a basic burger that you can add whatever a customer wants. I believe that may be my second favorite aspect of the Bird's experience. If I want three different cheeses and jalapenos, I can get it; blackened burger with bleu cheese crumbles, check. Your menu is good, but there wasn't a specific burger I wanted so I tried something that was relatively close to what I was looking for when I came in last week. It was my first time and I'll definitely be back, but this little tweak will make my, and likely others, experience so much better.

Read moreNelson's Burger Bar is truly one of the best restaurants in Tallahassee. Situated in a shack building once home to Voodoo Dog, they serve delicious burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and much more. The staff here is quite pleasant. Nelson's also has offbeat decor with splatter-painted walls. The restrooms have disco balls hanging on the ceiling and blacklight. Many college students have flocked to this surprisingly popular dive bar. Every Monday, they host a weekly Super Smash Bros. video game tournament. Local, aspiring musicians also perform live music gigs here. My first impression of their food is that I'm impressed with how they're cooked to perfection. I've had the Nelson Burger meal with crispy crinkle-cut fries and a cup of Coca-Cola. The burger itself is juicy, fresh, and quite filling. They may have a bit much fat in them, but they're scrumptious nonetheless. Their house-made ranch is also top notch. I would love to visit Nelson's Burger Bar...
