Let me start by saying, I had high hopes for this hotel. We arrived way earlier than check in and the nice man at the front desk was able to get us in a room which we were exicted about. Its evident by having to enter from the back of the building, that they are under construction. I do wish that would have been advised when originally booking. The elevators looked like they came straight out of a horror movie. Our room was decent, but the TV was connected to the wifi and we couldn't use the features advertised. The toilet had a a leak and there was a constant puddle of water behind it. Either way, we were so appreciative we got a room early that we dealt with all that. My card was charged 50 dollars extra right off that bat, which later they advised was for incidentals, but no one told me that when checking in or booking. They said it would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days. Then at 1230 am the fire alarm goes off in the hallway. You can tell they are trying to turn it off because it stops then starts then stops then starts. We gathered our important stuff and left the room. When we get in the hallway we hear gushing water from the other end of the hallway and a family running our of their room, water is not flooding the hallway. We go downstairs. The front desk attendant is still trying to turn the fire alarm off. We advise him the second floor is flooding. At the same time the fire department shows up. For the next hour we all stand outside waiting for an update. 2nd and first floor on one end is flooded. We finally were allowed to go back in but at that point it was showering and leaving because we had a early flight. The man at the front desk was very nice and apologized for everything and I do feel bad the night went crazy for him. We do have alot of safety concerns however. The fire alarms do not go off in the rooms. If it wasn't for the fact im a light sleeper and heard the alarm in the hall, my husband would have slept through everything, so if it had been a fire he could have died, and a few other guests had the same concern. Also the workers automatically assumed nothing was wrong and tried to turn off the fire alarm without checking the building which is very dangerous. The only reason im giving this a 2 stars is because of the friendliness of the staff, heck upper management/GM walked past us twice as we were leaving and didnt say a word or apologize, so im glad the rest of the staff was super friendly. We are calling this night as the night at the hotel from hell. We were advised we would be getting a refund and I...

By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in more than 10 years. Let’s start from the beginning, upon our arrival at check in, the girl working the front desk almost charged me $800 (that was company was paying for and had payment info on file) because she didn’t know what she was doing. This was after waiting about three minutes with her clicking around in the system only to then have to call on a manager for assistance because she didn’t see that the room was already paid for by my company. When the manager came over to assist, I was explaining how payment was setup and he cut me off with a hand gesture and provided instructions to his employee. Strike one. We got to our room which was supposed to be a king bed room only to see that we were put into a room with doubles. I called the front desk and got the same manager on the phone. He said, I’ll call you back in just a minute. He then had another guy call me to say that they overbooked and if they moved me to another room, it would create other issues so we were stuck with what we got. There were food particles on the floor under the bed from lack of proper cleaning. The tub drain was clogged so when you took a shower, your feet took a bath. During the night the pipes made a clicking noise that would wake me up in the middle of the night. The all natural breakfast contained rotten strawberries mixed in with perfectly good blueberries. The coffee station had no flavor erred creamer but you had the option of coffee house style syrups and plain creamers however; after breakfast, if you wanted coffee, you had to buy one from their barista station. There are a group of homeless people that live and setup on the right side of the hotel and a strop club right across the street within walking distance called Penthouse and slightly further down the road another called, Dollhouse. If you arrived back late to the hotel and needed to park, there was limited parking so we had to park next door at the Hampton (unless we wanted to park next to the homeless group). My company will receive this same review in hopes they never book here again for...

Pass this hotel up I have stayed at Hyatt's all over the world. Let me say this is the worst one I have ever stayed at. First of all a positive it is very close to the airport so its convenient and you will be able to hear every plane take off.. plus it has convenient access to major highways.

The bad.. I honestly don't think the employees care or given up.

The managers door is always open in the mornings so you can see the boxes stacked in his office and the ladder and you can here him conducting business during your breakfast.

The restaurant is a sheet of paper that the counter staff will make for you if they are not to busy.. by the way I asked them if they are cooks or food handlers permits and the answer I got was it's not to complicated.. hello Uber Eats... by the way we did try to order popcorn and they were out. I asked where the pantry was and it was the case next to check in counter full of pop, water and $4.50 cookies.

Speaking of cookies that you know they are known for... well on the weekend they did not put them out or the bite size treats.. so clearly family's on the weekends dont Matter much... The breakfast is the same thing except some day's bacon others sausage. Sometimes scrambled eggs but the hard boiled eggs are sitting out at room temp..some of the fruit was rotten or spoiled as it had mold on some of the grapes.. and dont choke on the grape stems they did not take the time to remove. By the way the bar.. well look at the pictures just to the right of the check in.. the 4 bar stools at the end... that's the bar and the staff at the front counter will get you a drink if they are not busy checking guests in or making a guest a dinner.

As far as the room... ABC is not ABC on the standard or digital channel... the toilet seat is on crooked in our room... the water is hot.. 2 of the 3 days I had a cup of coffee in the room they took my dirty cup and replaced the coffee.. that's a plus... the bed was comfortable and 1 of 4 pillows were fluffy or firm.. but if you like flat pillows then they...

“Terrifying & Unsafe — Sprinklers Exploded on My Child, Firefighters Called” We stayed here during our move from Pennsylvania to Florida on June 28, 2025, and it was by far the most traumatizing hotel experience of our lives. From the start, the hotel felt unsafe — under renovation, main entrance closed, creepy unfinished elevators, and even our toilet didn’t flush. But what happened at 12:30 a.m. turned into a nightmare. While my daughters were sleeping on the sofa bed, the sprinkler above them suddenly exploded with tremendous force. Filthy water poured directly onto them while the fire alarms blared. We panicked, thinking it could be gas or chemicals, and ran out drenched, terrified, and disoriented. My daughters were crying in fear, the entire room flooded in minutes, and I even felt an electric shock while trying to rescue important documents from the water. This flood almost ruined our passports, birth certificates, college and vehicle titles, electronics, and our clothes. The worst part? No hotel staff showed up for 30–40 minutes. We were left alone, in shock, surrounded other guests who had evacuated their rooms. I was so desperate that I had to call 911. When firefighters arrived, they confirmed this was an incidental event, meaning no one in our room was at fault. And yet, when a hotel staff member finally appeared, instead of helping, he tried to suggest we had “provoked” the sprinkler — an outrageous lie, as my daughters were asleep when it happened. Later, the hotel’s insurance dismissed our case, mocked my concerns about my daughter’s ongoing nighttime anxiety, and never followed up. The only “compensation” we received was a refund for that one night. This was not just inconvenient — it was unsafe, traumatic, and handled with shocking negligence. No family should ever have to go through what we did. I am sharing this so that others are warned: for your safety, do not stay at this hotel.

We had a terrible stay here during February 2023 and highly encourage you to NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Upon arrival, we were checked into our room (#213) The room we were given had two double beds and was handicap accessible. The room we booked was "1 King High Floor". The front desk representative, Wayne, did not mention this room change at all and we only found out upon arrival in the room. The room also had a defective security latch that would not secure the door. I went back to speak with Wayne and he was adamant that there were no king bed rooms available and that room was all that was available. I called Hyatt customer service and within 10 minutes a new room with 1 King bed suddenly became available; however, the new room had another person's luggage, shoes and there was also a needle and medication sitting out in the room (see photos). The room that we ultimately stayed in had numerous defective components. Wayne did not care about any of these issues and essentially said "take it or leave it". The next morning I spoke with the general manager, Ashley. She seemed mortified that this happened but did not take any concrete steps to resolve the issue other than saying she would “look into it”. Please find another hotel to stay at while you are in Tampa - do not stay here. The staff and facilities are subpar.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and close to many attractions like shopping malls, restaurants, parks, and beaches. I stayed here for a week. The breakfast is simple, mostly pre-packaged or basic options like jams, butters, waffles, toast, chopped fruits, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs. There aren’t many vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free choices, which could be improved. The rooms are spacious and accessible, equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a small supply of coffee and tea (you’ll need to get your own refills though 😅). Service was average — when I requested room cleaning, they only replaced the towels but didn’t sweep or properly clean the room. The air conditioning was also quite noisy at night, which made it hard to sleep. Wifi was good but didn’t work well where my bed was located. Tv is a bit of challenge to set up. Unfortunately, after the second night, I noticed some rashes and bites on my skin — hopefully, it wasn’t bed bugs, but it did make me a bit concerned.
