"A Telluride Tradition" dating back to the 70's, the free box is a bit of the old Telluride, the small town that existed before the boom. The free box is a place for people to leave usable household goods, clothing, and other items for passersby to peruse, and take, if needed. Great stuff can show up here, especially around the end of the ski season.

Got some nice boots, blanket, a dish, dog sweater, and socks. Would check on it every Thursday if I lived here (sign says it all gets removed every Friday). Mostly clothes and a few housewares. Wish we had one where I live. Super cool...
