A symphony of color. 😍 Have you explored Bridal Veil Falls? Traverse the trails of the Telluride box canyon for stunning views of the tallest free-falling waterfall in the state, topped by the historic Smuggler-Union Hydroelectric Power Plant. 📸: @marcos_visuals

So to start, I'll never go back to "Smugs" again, and I work in Telluride. Firstly, even though they have a decent beer menu, their regular pints are $8.00. The "special" selections are $9.00!! For a glass of beer. That's robbery. If I'm paying that much for a beer, it'd better be 8% or higher or a full pint. Here, it rarely is. The food while good, is equally expensive. They make a decent burger and the wings are delicious. But... you're going to pay for it. In my opinion, higher than the standard rate in Telluride. Currently, the bar area is offering 1/2 off drinks. But at the bar only. This is also advertised in the local paper. Three times now, I've been charged full price for the beers I've had. Most recently, I argued with the Asian bartender that there's no way I slammed three beers in 30 minutes (after the special ended & when I tabbed out). I'd normally say this was a one-off mistake. But again, three times? Smugs is bilking people that don't pay attention to their bills. And it's because of that, that I won't ever return. Go somewhere else while in Telluride.

If you’re looking for an amazing and fast meal- this is the place to go. We hit the sweet spot between early dinner and the load of dinner reservations and made it in. Grabbed the best seat in the house, through the whole restaurant and at the back with windows that show bits of the mountains and great people watching. But it wasn’t just the great service - the meal and the drinks were amazing. Moscow mules with vodka =10/10 and the dishes came out in less than 15 mins after ordering . Red snapper with an unbelievable red sauce and greens with a perfect crunch and steak and frites - couldn’t decide which fry dipping sauce was the best. (Only tip is that our steak was ordered as medium and came out more medium-well)

We had some of the worst service we have ever experienced. We had a large group (10 adults and 9 kids ages 7 - 12 and exceptionally well behaved). My husband has Celiac and we inquired regarding how they approach accommodation for this food allergy. The manager appeared very knowledgeable and sensitive so we felt we would be safe. The 2 servers seemed bothered and upset that we had a large group, even though we called ahead and were told we would be welcome. Two servers started to take our orders and neither of them ever once smiled in fact most of the time they grimaced and came across as put off. Despite us telling the waiter of the Gluten Allergy our food came out not once, not twice but three times before they got it right and then we were VERY sceptical that the food was safe and not at least with cross contamination. As we are GF we could not have their fries and the waiter described the salad that would be served in place of the fries but forgot to mention their were walnuts in it (my husband is anaphalaxic allergic to tree nuts) and the walnuts were in the bottom of the salad bowl. Thankfully I discovered this in my salad before he ingested any.

Another couple at our table ordered an appetizer and it never came out and when we told the waiter after their main course arrived he accused them of lying and eating it and then saying they didn't receive it.

At the end of our experience (over 2 1/2 hours later) he then basically tried to say that none of the problems were his fault and then said "I take great pride in the service I provide" essentially pleading for a tip, in our opinion. The checks were separated per family as agreed upon at the time we called to ask if they could accommodate us, and all had a 20% gratuity already added in. We would never return to this restaurant. The service was poor the mistakes were plentiful and could have been life...

AWESOME BEERS!! When I was heading into town, I had heard good things about Colorado's beer, but I admit coming from Eugene Oregon, I wasn't quite sure how far the beer scene had developed out here. Happy findings!

What I found was a wide range of tasty selections which included your standard type selections (IPA, blonde, wheat, and a red) and some more elegant and unique selections for the knowledgable drinker like german style beers and a mushroom nut brown ale which was a delightful surprise! Nice and toasty taste of walnuts coming through and this not overly thick brown ale. I say this as I am not a huge brown ale fan, yet I really enjoyed ordering this one a couple times. My bartender Charlie both knew a lot about what different beers were on tap and was a very warm individual and really helpful.

I asked to sit at the bar and I ordered the burger with bacon and blue cheese (a beerdrinkers best friend) and it came out delicious. Lightly toasted bun, thick and crisp bacon, juicy burger, with the wet parts on the side (which my pet peeve of soggy bread really appreciated!) I got the caesar salad instead of the fries and there wasn't freshly crushed pepper but there was the nice pieces of parmesan that make the caesar salad tasty.

Overall, I had a great experience at Smuggler's, and I look forward to what exciting beers are to come on tap during...

This was by far the worst establishment we have ever been to. We had reservations at 8 and weren't seated until after 9pm, then didn't leave the restaurant until nearly 11pm. While waiting the nearly 2 hours on our food we witnessed the entire wait staff, bartenders, and manager gather at the bar to take shots together, many of which took several shots, all while they were supposed to be working. Several of the waiters/waitresses were so drunk that they could barely stand up without using their customers for stability. Our waitress actually attempted to climb up a shelf to get to go boxes and fell because she was so enebriated. When we approached the manager at the end of our stay he did nothing but defend himself and saw nothing wrong with the situation. His explanation was, "well the cooks aren't drinking"...they were the only ones. One of the waitresses chimed in to explain that they were "just celebrating after a long day of work". Mind you the establishment was very much open and busy throughout this whole ordeal. The whole experience was just horrible and extremely unprofessional. We will be getting in contact with the owner and any other necessary persons to make sure that the issues with this establishment are taken care of...
