Alpine Lodging Telluride — Hotel in Telluride

My children and I stayed at with this establishment summer 2014 for a little over a week. My son's fold out bed blocked our way to the bathroom. The room was small and cramped. On day 2 & 3 there was no breakfast. The cream cheese we found in the frig was moldy. We dined out. On day 4 they restocked the common area kitchen--finally! Then the code on our door was changed with no notification. This was done after hours and the emergency contact number posted not in the hotel but in the office downtown did not answer. I ended up leaving my children downtown as I, by now in a full panic, started running around town and calling other hotels hoping someone could help me. I had visions of sleeping that night in the car. After two hours a clerk at a neighboring establishment gave me the number of another emergency desk clerk. Turns out, she was dealing with an emergency at another location and could not answer my initial phone calls. The establishment doesn't hire enough people. They also don't clean unless you put in a request--which we did but the cleaners didn't show up. Looking back, I should have just ate the expense, booked elsewhere and moved mid-week. I asked my children if we should move and they were reluctant, so I didn't. They refunded me one night's stay and I had to fight for that. I would never in a thousand lives return to that place. My husband and I booked a lodge with alpine lodging for a different location, unfortunately I had the dates mixed up and had to call and see if they had another property available for the weekend that I wanted. The on-call representative was extremely friendly and helpful and was able to get us into a different room. She did not state there was an up charge but when we were notified we understood, as the room came with a kitchen instead of it being a loft.

When we arrived We discovered the room was the fairy very outdated, and when we pulled out the couch we found a T-shirt from the gas before us, leaving me to believe it was not properly cleaned. That night my husband and I woke up freezing as the heater in the bedroom had a different thermostat I was hidden behind an armoire. We were never notified of the thermostat and got little sleep as We had to sleep on the pull out couch where the heater was working. There was no restroom soap and the towels were so rough I didn’t need to exfoliate!

The location was beautiful with an excellent view, I suggest updating the rooms like they did the others from the photos online.

They did give us $100 for the inconvenience of the thermostat which I appreciated. Communication was via text and check in was very cold and rude. Unfortunately We will not be staying with Alpine...

We booked a "condo" last minute on New Years's Eve. While we appreciate them accommodating our stay for the night, the rental was not at all as advertised. First, there was no kitchen; it was a room with a bathroom and mini fridge. Next, we specifically asked if there was a jacuzzi, and they told us there was one, but alas that was not true. Also, we spent about an hour just trying to locate the entrance to the unit. The site was under construction, and the front desk has no idea how to direct us to the unit (there were no signs or building numbers to aid us). Finally, after eventually locating the unmarked, unlit entryway to the back of the building, we walked through a construction area littered with debris from demolition. The unit was clean with a satisfactory bed and functioning bathroom but had nothing else--particularly no jacuzzi.
