I recently went back to what I thought would be a good trip to a regal, but I was suddenly reminded why I won’t be going back. During my visit my options were to wait in a ridiculously long line for a soda or break my sobriety to save my wait and quench my thirst. I decided I’d be fine without a drink. Went to go find my seats and to my luck someone was sitting in my seats, don’t they check tickets? Not only was it just one party that took my seats but 2 separate ones. This issue was resolved fairly quickly, or so I thought, turns out another party showed up and were in a dispute over the seats that the other 2 parties had taken. Regal employee came in shined his light trying to read tickets while the movie was playing. Not only that but once the seat situation was “handled” the person sitting behind me was instant that they should be able to use up as much room behind me and push my seat forward. I made subtle remarks to show I was annoyed/irritated with the seat, but that person decided to push my seat regardless. That was it I decided I was going to excuse myself and request a refund, because I wasn’t about to ruin everyone else’s experience because I was having a bad one. Once I’m able to speak to someone about my refund, there was no apology or an attempt to resolve the issue. Their attempt at resolving the issue was what felt like “here take this free ticket and stop bothering me.” I only wanted a refund for my one ticket, they told me they could only give me a free voucher for any regal ticket valid for 18 months. I told them no that’s fine I’d just like my money because I won’t be coming back, she insisted I take it and give it to someone else if I wasn’t going to use it. I told her it’s not about that and that I was fine without the money and that it’s no problem and not her fault, and I was going to go about my day. Nope, she could probably tell I was going to write this regardless, as soon as I said that and began to walk away she instantly jumped up to two tickets, to a place I told her I wasn’t going to visit again, and proceeded to use the people I was with (who I didn’t want a refund for because they stayed to watch the movie) to manipulate ,me to take the tickets so they could use it, and that if I wasn’t going to use it to give it to someone random at least. I knew she wasn’t going to stop asking me to accept these tickets so I told her she could give the tickets away since she was so persistent on me taking them to get me to be quiet or show that I at least “accepted” their apology, and walked away. It was never about the tickets or getting more than what I paid for. All I wanted was a my money back, but hey 4.4 stars maybe I’m unluckily and got all the bad eggs...
Read moreIf you’re looking for more than just a movie night, if you want to be inside the movie then look no further than Regal Edwards Temecula, especially their 4DX showings. This theater doesn’t just screen films. It straps you in, cranks the adrenaline, and throws you headfirst into the cinematic universe.
I’ve been coming to Regal Edwards Temecula for years, and what keeps me returning (aside from their friendly staff and clean environment) is their commitment to evolving with the industry. When they introduced 4DX, I honestly didn’t know what to expect but I’ve now experienced several blockbusters in this format and let me tell you: it’s the closest thing you’ll get to a theme park ride in a movie theater.
4DX Experience: A Full-Throttle Adventure
My first 4DX movie here was Top Gun: Maverick, and I still talk about it like it was a real flight. As the jets roared across the screen, my seat tilted, vibrated, and rumbled with every sonic boom. Wind blew across my face, and sudden bursts of air behind my ears made me jump I actually ducked during a missile scene. Since then, I’ve also caught Avatar: The Way of Water, Fast X, and Dune: Part Two in 4DX each one an absolute thrill.
The synchronized seat movements, mist sprayers, air jets, and even scent effects (yes, they simulate smells!) transform a regular film into a multisensory thrill ride. Every punch lands with a jolt, every explosion rocks your seat, and flying sequences literally lift you up and drop you down. It’s not for the faint of heart but if you’re into blockbuster spectacles, this is the way to watch them.
The seats (even in the non-4DX auditoriums) are comfortable, with generous legroom and cup holders. But of course, 4DX seating is specially designed for motion and impact, and they do warn you before the film begins hold on to your drinks, and maybe don’t bring grandma to see Ballerina in this format.
The Theatre Itself: Spacious, Stylish, and Clean
Regal Edwards Temecula is an anchor in the local community. Located conveniently near the Promenade Mall, it’s the perfect spot for a pre-movie dinner or post-movie dessert run. The theater lobby is modern, well-lit, and gives off that exciting “event night” energy even if it’s just a casual Tuesday screening.
Their staff are always polite and patient, especially when people are navigating the 4DX ticketing system or deciding between buttered popcorn and chicken tenders. The bathrooms are consistently clean, and the theater does a great job at keeping the seats and aisles tidy, something I don’t take...
Read moreHorrible experience last night! My husband and I haven't been to the theater in a while and decided to catch a movie in Temecula. We got there at 449pm and the movie we wanted to see started at 430pm. We was told we had 5 mins left to catch the beginning but didn't realize we had to reserve seating. Once we got to our row (K) all seats were full, the movie already started, and there were no employees around to monitor proper seating so we sat somewhere esle that was unfortunately uncomfortable to my eyes. I went to customer service after the movie was over just to make a suggestion only. I shared with the manager (Nikki) concerning our inconvenience and she RUDELY cut my conversation off to the point she signal a guard arm security to stand behind me. Why was this? I was very calm and all she could have done was listened entirely and said, "I apologize and will share your suggestions with corporate." I could write more on this story but my moment felt very racist, insensitive, and discriminated towards. We are descents intelligence citizens and both my husband and I served this country well. My husband served 20 years in the Navy and I worked 24 years as a federal government employee. Nikki truly doesn't need to be a manger anywhere! Poor representation! However, LOL! I will blame it on my military retired veteran 270lb nearly tall black handsome husband kindly standing next to his wife with an Oakland Raider Nation Jersey. We get too much attention when he wears it in public and the problem is I am not a football fan. Seriously, everything was better when people could just sit anywhere and not stare at the faces of other people who is seating in your reserved seating you just paid for. On the other hand, who wants to go find an employee or manager in between a movie to make matters worse by causing confusion to make someone move? Not everyone interested in causing conflicts. Horrible idea Edwards Theater! What you need to do is invest your time in upgrading your smelly $12 seats to lazyboys lounge chairs and not hire managers to encourage fighting if necessary or have black customer's watched by police because they have an opinion. A return movie ticket means nothing to me for the way we were treated. I think it's worth going back to California Oaks Regal theater in Murrieta and pay $17 for a classy theater and...
