The museum displays lots of pictures and info already outside which captures your attention so that when you enter you don't see or realize the tiny sign right by the cash register that nobody is sitting behind, saying you need to pay 8$ admission. We were rudely greeted- nothing free here, read the sign! We would've paid for the admission but quite honestly after being so rudely talked to, it seemed we were unwelcomed guests, even if we would've paid. My recommendation- stay clear of the museum so you don't feel like leaving Tombstone entirely. Also another remark, by law you are an adult between ages 18-21, but all these businesses want to charge adult prices for kids ages 12 and above. That is pure greed. Families with kids already struggle because they have to pay for minors that don't earn money until they are at least 18. Very few businesses hire at 16 let alone 12. These businesses charging adult fees for minors are adding to the financial burden of families who would like to educate their kids or at least show them a good weekend. Businesses need to rethink, because those prices prevented us from engaging in...
Read moreThis place is awesome. A true Wild West enthusiast's dream come true. There is so much to peruse, read about, and take in. The owner is great! I was completely impressed by his hospitality and amazed by all the paraphernalia, guns, photos, and other accessories that had been collected over the years. We probably spent a good hour in here, reading about his collection and gawking at everything that had been collected. From Luke Short to Bill Doolin, this hall of fame had everyone I could check off a gunfighter's list. They even claim to have Jesse James' trigger finger! At the end of the day, we even got to hold the Colt Buntline used by Kurt Russell in the 1994 movie Tombstone when he played Wyatt Earp. For those few reviewers complaining about the 8 dollar fee per person, it's probably in your best interest to stop travelling. Nothing is free and people have to...
Read moreMy brother in law, niece and nephew went here on a family trip. They paid the admission fee. When my sister and I went to meet them after they were done, the owner and man at the desk starting calling me and my sister cheapskates for not going in with them, called us liars for not being interested, and proceeded to follow us outside and making inappropriate comments. He said he owned the place. My family said it was an interesting place, but beware of the hostility/volatility of the owner and his angry,...
