I am normally not a fan of large, loud chain restaurants but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was in the mall shopping after work and it was pouring outside. I was looking for a place with decent options for my belated birthday dinner. We checked out a few options and decided to give this place a try.
After a short wait to be seated, they put us at a small table by the bar which was way too loud and TVs in every direction. I really dislike TVs in restaurants, so this was sensory overload to the extreme. I asked if we could have a quieter booth table. The person seating us told us that there were none available (even though I saw several open) so I decided to leave. As we got to the door, they politely asked if there was a problem. I said the table available was too small, busy and loud and preferred a quieter booth table but was told there were none available. They immediately apologized and gave us the booth nearest to them which was much more peaceful and spacious.
The food was very good and plentiful. The poke nachos were fantastic. My fish tacos were great, although the beans on the side were somewhat meager (would have preferred more beans/less rice). My husband loved his fish and chips and our son ate most of his pizza. The kids options were overall pretty good, but the included beverage of only milk seemed odd and wasteful (it was a large cup vs a typical organic milk or apple juice box). The kids dessert options were limited or redundant (chocolate chips rice crispy treat on a stick or fruit which was also as offered a side). Dessert options for adults were nice and plentiful, I shared a combo dish with my husband.
The electronic tablet at the table was useful and my son enjoyed the games, but there was NO information prior to the games stating there would be a charge for use which we found somewhat deceptive.
Overall it was a good experience. Our server was attentive and pleasant, the food was good and the music was excellent (mainly 80s/90s nostalgic alternative rock). Other than those few glitches it was a good experience, we'll...
Read moreThe Yard House restaurant is a popular and well regarded American casual dining restaurant chain that’s known for offering guests superbly made burgers, pizzas, salads and other delicious dishes.
In July of 2025, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Yard House, specifically the branch located at the Palisades Center at West Nyack, New York and we very much enjoyed our dining experience.
The restaurant’s staff warmly greeted us upon arrival, and quickly provided us with a very large and comfortable dining table. Our server, Destiny D. was kind, welcoming and unquestionably professional. She did a great job on taking our menu orders, addressing our inquiries and always checked to make sure that we were having a great time. The Yard House is truly fortunate to have Destiny D as a member of their team.
In addition to the great service, both my wife and I were in awe of the restaurant’s energetic and vivacious atmosphere. We were impressed with its modern and stylish decor, and its display of multiple large television screens which feature live sports events and popular music programming. Guests also have access to a lively sports bar which features a vast collection of beers and cocktails.
Last but certainly not least, my wife and I absolutely enjoyed our meal!!! We found our guacamole and chips appetizer tasty and delightful!!! I ordered and loved my burger based entree while my wife ordered and loved her whiskey glazed salmon entree. We found our meals to be perfectly cooked, superbly seasoned and highly delicious!!!
All in all, we very much enjoyed our dining experience at the Yard House, and highly recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this great...
Read moreI was there today with my family because usually we go to the yard house in yonkers. And I must say what a horrible experience we had. First off my server by the name of Mariana R., her customer service skills suck!!! She didn't even offer us any water, not only that she had our order placed wrong... and she never came to the table to show customer service. It was only towards the end when we said cancel the order, that she has finally smiled and said okay fine but would you like 2 free desserts on the house... seriously I came for food not dessert. Theres plenty of frozen yogurt in that mall if I wanted sweets. She wasn't attentive, she didn't have social skills, nor empathy. But when I looked around other tables were getting better service than ours. I also work in a restaraunt and that is not the way to handle your paying customers or even give a great experience. We will never ever come to this location again. You should do better in training your staff, you never know when someone from corporate will show up and dine in!!! If I can rate this experience from 1-5 she gets a 1. Do better to earn better. I hope changes will be made. Because your New Jersey Pallisades Location SUCKS!!!! WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE LIKE MARIANA R.... and I was table 32 just fyi!!! P.s. also when people of religious backgrounds request something you should listen and follow instructions, maybe your racist????...
