DO NOT GO TO THIS TARGET, GO TO THE TARGET AT THE PALISADES MALL. I had been going to the Spring Valley Target every week for years, I've been a member since 2010, I had Target wedding and baby registries, all in all I think I'm a pretty loyal patron. But last weekend I tried returning a car seat and crib mattress off my registry, albeit it is expired over 90 days, and the customer service team (three women) were INCOMPETENT AND/OR UNWILLING TO HELP. They kept telling me the items âarenât in our systemâ, although they are still sold on line. And they couldnât just magically enter the items into their system. So the only option they left me with was to schlep my items back to my car, nothing else they could do, even though I told them I called their customer service line three times and they confirmed the items could be returned. So I called the West Nyack Target and spoke to Kyle C. After a brief conversation, he confirmed that the items could probably be returned or exchanged, HE WAS AT LEAST WILLING TO HELP ME OUT. I went to the West Nyack Target last night, although Kyle C. was not there, Alisha was there to help me. And she went above and beyond. Off the bat, she was at least willing to do something for me. She escorted me to the baby aisle to help me find something I could exchange my gifts for, then she helped me bring the new items to Guest Services. She had someone help me bring the car seat and mattress I already had from my car to the store. Once Alisha exchanged the items for me (took about two minutes), she offered to give me an escort to my car again. All of this could have been done at the Spring Valley store, they were just lazy or unwilling to help! Youâd think that with Target exposing the personal information of 110,000 of their patrons to hackers that they would make Customer Service a priority. The West Nyack Target seems to understand that Customer Service is still important, apparently the Spring Valley Target did not get the memo. Again, DO NOT SHOP AT THE SPRING VALLEY TARGET, go to the West Nyack Target and if you need help talk to Kyle C. or definitely ALISHA â sheâs the best. Thank you Alisha. And your company should thank you for restoring some faith in the company for at least...
Read moreDecent selection compared to other targets with majority of products in stock. Pretty good grocery prices and wide selection of homewares at great prices especially on sale or clearance. My only complaints may seem exaggerated but they are not and they are things that could make or break a stores success because it's basically customer service and satisfaction. For instance there never seems to be employees around to help you answer a question or find what you need so whether they are short staffed, hiding in the back on a long break, or working in another department, Target needs to address this bc I've encountered this issue numerous times in most stores in the area when in any retail store but especially one as big Target should have a minimum of one employee in every department bc what happens is the store especially clothing is a mess and disorganized which creates more time wasted sifting and searching & unanswered questions bc you can't find the item or want to know whether they have more in stock in the back but it's as if no one is working or whoever is does not bother to refold or organize clothing or fix the shoe aisle and place types and sizes in their appropriate places on the shelves so you can locate what you need. In other depts like grocery the staff will wait to restock the shelves till after closing causing Target to lose out on business & staff in an depts have actually lied to me about an item being out of stock yet I will see it in a pallet or rack . BUT MY MAJOR ISSUE IS CHECKOUT. If all those missing staffers from the depts were helping at checkout; i totally understand but clearly they are not when the self checkout is 20 people long, and there is only 2-3 cashier lanes even open and paint dries quicker than the checkout line at Target. The cashiers move like molasses and I had one item but had to wait 30 mins before being rung up. It was near closing so I get the influx of people but I've worked in retail and instead of people restocking and "hanging around," open up more lanes so you can move people quicker and get the store closed. You would have thought it was Black Friday with the number of people. It could be 5 star if they focused on the areas...
Read moreI would like to wish Villegas. Merry Christmas to Allison Villegas and to let known to Target headquarters what a fine job this special lady is doing. We made a pickup order. My husband picked up, but didn't take the time to check for a complete order. After two days, when we decided to start wrapping the gifts, we realized there was five items missing. They were gifts for our grandkids. My husband called the Spring Valley store where we had done our purchase. Allison answered our call and listen very patiently to our problem. She said she would help as best she could. While talking we got disconnected. We were heartbroken because as it has happened to us many times, no one calls back. But she did. She took the time, on one of the busiest evenings and told us not to worry, everything would be waiting for us the next morning. Not only did she have the order ready, she took time to write us an apology note for the inconvenience the store had caused us. With three wonderful gifts. Who does that now a days? We felt really special to have had her answer our call. If only every single retail worker would treat their customers the same, it would be a much happier world. Once again, thank you...
