My sister Erin got a game truck and a food truck that vibed well together for my niece Maddie’s 12th birthday celebration. —the game truck was the main attraction... so much fun! The kids were obsessed. They ran back and forth between the games and the food like it was a mini amusement park, and the energy never dipped. It was just fun, simple, and endless entertainment.

And the game truck owner was great. He was so good with the kids—calm, patient, but still had that “I’m in charge” presence that kept everything moving without chaos.

At one point, I was trying to notify the kids that it was time to eat: “Y’all ready to eat?” “Y’all ready to eat?” “Y’all ready to eat?” “Y’all ready to eat?” Louder each time. I must have said it like 12 times, and no one turned from their game. No one budged, no one paused the game, nothing. They just kept playing. They did not even hear me. They could not even hear me.

I have a strong voice for a woman—and still, not a single kid flinched. Then he—cool, calm, just ONE time—goes: “Kids, y’all ready to eat?” And BOOM. Like magic, they all turned around in unison—like he was their Puppet Master. I just looked at him in disbelief, saying “THANK YOU!” LOL. Apparently, male voice = instant authority.

But seriously—he was amazing with the kids, really present, really professional, and honestly just made the whole thing feel smooth and joyful. He showed up on time, the truck looked great, and everything ran like clockwork.

If you’re planning a birthday or block party, this game truck is a must. The kids loved it. The adults loved it. And me? I stayed off the truck because I knew if I got on, I wasn’t getting off. They’d be singing the birthday song like, “Where’s Auntie?” and someone would just shrug, “Still...

We had the mobile gaming van for my son Hunter’s birthday party, and it was such a hit! From start to finish, working with the owner, Phylip, was great. He was super easy to communicate with—responsive, polite, and helpful. Any time I had a question, he got back to me right away and was really flexible and accommodating.

He arrived early, set everything up perfectly (even with our tight driveway!), and made sure everything ran smoothly. The van itself was awesome—it fit all the kids comfortably and worked perfectly for our space. I loved that it wasn’t a huge trailer like a lot of the other gaming trucks I looked into. This setup was much more practical for our driveway while still fitting plenty of kids and giving them the full gaming experience.

Phylip was so friendly and great with the kids— they listened to him better than they listened to me, lol. He even helped transition the group when it was time for cake and pictures. Everyone—from the kids to my husband to my brothers, even my almost 3 year old 🤣—had a blast.

I’d highly recommend this for any party or event. It made the day stress-free for me and unforgettable...

I’d like to share my wonderful experience with The Gaming Van this past Saturday with you all!

For some context, I work with a special needs program in Riverdale in which we plan activities and events for students on the weekends. My team & I came across The Gaming Van and thought it’d be great for our students because they love playing their video games and we’ve never seen nothing like a mobile gaming van! Surely enough, we had booked The Gaming Van and were all looking forward to this event.

Phylip - owner of The Gaming Van, is great with communication, punctuality, and overall service.There was enough space not only for my students to sit in the van but to also play! The interior setup of seating, consoles and TVs was just right, and there was a huge selection of games to pick from. If students needed any kind of assistance, Phylip was very attentive and willing to provide his assistance in anything that was needed.
