NEW YORK AUTO SCHOOL — Attraction in Town of Eastchester

This is the second review that I have ever written, and I must say it is well worth taking the time to make it known how happy I am with my experience with this New York Auto School location. As a first time driver the notion of having to sit behind a steering wheel and manage a vehicle weighing three thousand pounds or more can be very daunting, but with the help of a professional instructor like Mario it was less frightening and more realistically possible. His professionalism was extremely helpful and by far exceeds my expectations. Mario is very calm and reassuring which all first time drivers need in an instructor (because trust me all your nerves will be out of wack), he's never in a rush or rushes me during our sessions. Mario is always positive and makes sure that I have the same positive attitude which goes a long way in helping me build my confidence. With all of his techniques and easy way of getting me to remember what I needed to learn, I was able to pass my test on June 9th. I can say with certainty, I will never forget Mario or any of the techniques he has used to teach me how to become a driver because he has left a lasting impression with his special persona. Thomas is a fantastic instructor who got me through my test after a break of 20 odd years. Having failed 2 times as a middle aged woman was disappointing.I started thinking that driving is not in the cards for me. However my daughter referred to try New York Auto school and give myself one last chance to the idea of that I can try to learn driving a car. Coming back as a learner in my fifties was daunting. However, Thomas's patience and intuitive style got me through first go back. I can't say how glad I am that I chose to learn with Thomas over other instructors in the area. I was nervous about learning to drive, as my experience with a previous instructor hadn't been very positive, however Thomas put me completely at ease and I felt very comfortable driving with him. Thomas was a very supportive instructor and I cannot recommend him highly enough! I can honestly say that Thomas saw where I needed guidance and where I needed encouragement. Driving is an art isn't it? There are some who can really drive, probably naturally gifted. Others really have to learn to be good. Have you seen someone stepping on gas pedal for stopping a car at a busy intersection, milking the steering wheel for a right/left turn, driving 10 miles per hour while the speed limit is 40 mph? What reaction of the driving instructor would be, if you drive in this way with a driving instructor right beside you?
