Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion — Attraction in Town of Greenburgh

Flawless, magnificent, beautiful, detail oriented and picturesque are a few descriptive words that I would use to describe the interactions with the team and venue at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill. From the first time my family and I interfaced with Caitlin, through the planing and execution process with Vanessa, sheer delight was the feeling that we experienced. My father-in-law has done events on many continents and he said that few compare to the attention to detail and swift responses that we received from Vanessa and our team. Mind you, this wedding was planned from beginning to end in 2 months. The bride and groom were in California, the parents of the groom were in Cape Cod and the parents of the bride were in China. The custom timeline, the yes I can attitude and the uniqueness of the venue made for a very classy family and friends oriented evening. What we particularly enjoyed was that the event was staged at three different locations at the venue. A gorgeous outdoor environment for the ceremony, an upstairs somewhat intimate turreted room for the cocktail hour with views of the Hudson and an elegant reception in a sun filled ballroom. The whimsical florals were done by Ashley at Damselfly Designs lent an avant garden, trendy ethereal feel to the evening. DJ Ross from Hank Lane Music kept everyone on their feet with a dance vibe that was well executed. The appetizers and food would make any 5 star restaurant jealous of the made to order quality and execution. Many of the quests remarked that it was some of the best food that they have had at an event. And trust me, these guests are quite discerning. The wine selection served, totally complimented the meals and met with the most discerning palates. Ending with a spectacular sparkler exit truly capped off a wonderful evening. The staff was over the top. Each table had their own very capable and friendly wait staff. They went over and above. The bartenders were great and churned out the drink of the evening, “lychee martinis “ and a myriad of other drinks with ease and professionalism. Everyone, without exception, did a stellar job. My Bridal attendant Merelene (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) was always there to lend helping hand no matter what the task. Vanessa thanks for acting as a brilliant choreographer to create the wedding of my dreams. You truly are an expert at your job. You can feel the love and care that you put into your efforts to create a truly personal memorable experience...

We can't say enough good things about Tappan Hill. The team was absolutely exceptional and made our wedding day run so smoothly. There is literally so much I could say but I will try to focus on some of the highlights: Our event coordinator (John Glovack) was an absolute godsend. From the moment we met him two months out from our wedding we knew we'd hit the jackpot. He was positive, organized, flexible and RESPONSIVE. On the days when he was working we never went more than a few hours before we heard a reply from him. He kept track of all of our requests (food, timeline etc.) and never asked the same question twice. I don't know how he does it, but he was a huge help in the final weeks to work though all the nuances and questions from our other vendors! The day-of bridal attendant (Marleny) was also fantastic. For example, we arrived at the venue with multiple boxes filled with all kinds of decor. Instead of having to micro-manage and direct her on where everything should go, she was able to make some educated guesses and figure out 95% of it by herself. Periodically as I was getting ready she would come back and show me photos of where she had set things up, and I truly had no notes! She was also so helpful throughout the day (brought me water before I asked for it, helped us stay on schedule, bustled my dress after the ceremony etc.) - allowing my bridesmaids and I to be as relaxed as possible! At the end of the night, she also helped make sure all of our stuff was packed up and ready to leave, saving me the headache of trying to run around and corral everything. Our wedding ran like a well oiled machine. The staff is so good and the service was extremely prompt. No one was ever waiting in a line for a drink, or sitting at their table wondering where their food was! Speaking of the food, the food here was amazing! From our cocktail hour through to our afterparty, all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was. Not something you always get to say with wedding food to begin with, but the food here is absolutely restaurant quality!
