What is worse than price gouging during a pandemic? I'll give you an answer -- how about price gouging during a pandemic when you serve a community that has many lower socioeconomic customers, like C-town in Sleepy Hollow.
Like many people, I have had a hard time buying paper towels. While many items like toilet paper have become more readily available, paper towels are still hard to find.A few days ago, I was happy to see that I finally found a place that has paper towels. However, after paying the bill, which seemed exorbitant , I saw that it was the paper towels that were obviously over-priced. The price was $10.99 for a pair of paper towels. Yes, that's over $5 per paper towel roll! I assumed it was a mistake, and that C-town had simply misprinted the price for the paper towels. So, when I went back to the cashier to point this out, she said there was no mistake. And she agreed with me that the price was preposterous. I returned the paper towels and will no longer be frequenting this supermarket. You can see a picture of the paper towels that I took at C-town. And, the bounty paper towels were in the same...
Read moreI love the produce section at this store! It's the perfect size, however, the quality of the vegetables is inconsistent. They look great on the display, but many times you get them home and they are tasteless. I've been over charged many times at the cash register, too many to count. That rarely happens, if ever, at Stop and Shop and Whole Foods. Make sure you check your receipt before you leave. Check the expiration dates before you put the product in your cart as that also seems to be an issue on occasion. Many items are overpriced and not worth buying so perhaps THAT is why nobody is buying those items. Ever think of that? I really hope they lift the quality of their produce / get a better supplier, and shop their prices against other stores. It'd be great to not feel the need to...

Even if you exclude these newer homes and you have the typical 100+ year old home, you're paying way more than you should for the home plus your taxed out of this world!...So while paying outrageous living expenses you would hope to have a better quality of life....this CTown is the perfect example of how you can spend top dollar for a substantially lower quality of life. The inside looks like a Bodega and the low quality seafood is way over priced. It has a very small food selection, prices are high and it's dirty. That's...
