Firstly in my years owning homes and working on projects to refurbish and update I have NEVER come across a more COMPLETE, HONEST, PROFESSIONAL and TRANSPARENT company than GOTHAM KICTHEN & BATH.

The whole process from start to end was flawless. Our journey with Gotham began when we popped into their showroom in Yonkers and met their Office Manager, Dana. What a beautiful and lovely person to greet us and get to know our service needs. From that moment on we knew this was the place that we were going to have design our dream kitchen. When you meet people and you feel a POSITIVE ENERGY and a KIND nature you cannot help but gravitate towards them…”that was our feeling from the get go!”

We had our first appointment with the Chief Designer, Kris Devito and we were truly blown away. She has such great level of expertise in Kitchen Design and knows all the little tricks that you can do when designing. This was unquestionably and incredible asset and helped us create our DREAM KITCHEN. We had numerous appointments and drafts of the kitchen design and were constantly tweaking and suggesting different things, this really made us feel like “nothing was ever too much”. Like many people I’m sure we are spending a lot of money and have a keen eye on the detail but when working with Kris we were made to feel like we could ask all the questions we may have, about anything from cost, timing, Quality vs Spend, Tricks to stay within budget, vendors for other needs within the kitchen space (i.e. sink, faucet, appliances, worktops, and flooring). It was safe to say we were in really good hands and someone that knew the trade well and had some incredible connections with local family ran businesses.

We did not have a contractor at the time and Kris introduced us to a contractor (Catania Maintenance), which was honestly the best decision we ever made. I know this testimony is about Gotham Kitchen and Bath but I just wanted to pop in one plug for William (Billy) at Catania Maintenance. This has to be the BEST CONTRACTOR in the NEW YORK, someone who is so dedicated in making the client happy and doing the best job possible, he strives for perfection. Plus his very honest and kind nature means he is transparent with pricing and labor.

Back to Gotham. So building a kitchen is not straightforward and not everything goes smoothly. We had our ups and downs which all stemmed from reasons outside of our and Gotham’s control i.e. appliance delivery delays, cabinet manufacturer delays and so on. This is where KRIS DEVITO shines through….i cannot believe the way she reacted to problems that cam about….her reaction time was impeccable, follow up and relentless pursuit for making us happy and feel like we really mattered. I cannot thank her enough for this. At the time my wife was 8 months pregnant and Kris & Catania Maintenance did everything they possibly could to make us feel like they were on top of everything whether it be delivery timings, installation time and just overall tweaks that we are making to the design. One of pinnacle moments of our kitchen process was when Kris took it upon herself to challenge the appliance dealer and have them prioritize our order….and it worked. She demonstrated how dedicated she is to making her clients happy and feel respected…this was truly an ABOVE and BEYOND action.

Lastly our kitchen is the DREAM KITCHEN we could have, and its finished to an incredible standard to such a point the value of our home has now gone up by 15%. Guests and family come over and their JAWS DROP when they see it! We kinda love that moment and all of that credit goes to KRIS DEVITO and CATANIA MAINTENANCE.

Kris….you are family to us and this is just the start of many projects we will work on and our forever friendship and appreciation to...

As perfect of an experience as it gets from beginning to end.  My husband and I were trying to find someone to renovate our kitchen for 2 years and initially entertained the idea of a Home Depot or Lowe's to do so.  After yet another awkward and impersonal experience at corporate America's giant home retailers, I told my husband I would not be willing to move forward as I did not feel comfortable these generic stores would care to understand our standards and deliver what we wanted.  Undeterred, my husband decided to look local and found Gotham Kitchen and Bath.   He began communication with Kris, the co-owner and kitchen designer for the company.  Her husband is the contractor so I loved the idea of a husband and wife team working together as they will surely respect and be on the same page as one another.  From the very beginning, Kris was extremely professional and sweet and was very generous with her time talking to us.  My husband had already designed the kitchen we wanted, but we had no idea of how to turn it into a reality or the elements needed.  Kris immediately understood us as people and aesthetics, and lead us through the process like a true boss.  Her showroom has many options of different things but she knows how to not overwhelm you and keep things focused.  It was apparent to us that she was extremely experienced and most importantly detail oriented.  For people like my husband and I who are not so easy to give any creative control away, we knew we could trust everything she suggested to us as if she were doing it for her own home.  Then there is her network of businesses that she works with- we didn't need to look around for a back splash company or a lighting company or an appliance store or hardware store or anything like that- she literally had everyone readily available and reached out to them and connected us so we didn't even need to lift a finger.  They were local as well so that was very convenient.  We are amazon shoppers like everyone else but for something like this you really need to see the things you are buying.  Now for the workers that came to do our kitchen- Her husband Billy is just as wonderful as she is- and he has the most incredible workers working for him which is only a reflection upon himself and his business.  The workers practically deep cleaned everyday after working, were considerate that we had a cat, and not to mention that I was 8 almost 9 months pregnant!  They didn't yell like savage construction workers or throw things around and always kept their voices low and considerate.  They prided themselves on their work which was apparent immediately.  My husband was at work alot so they would go downstairs and orchestrate deliveries trough the service entrance so I didn't have to wobble out of the apartment as big as I was.  By the end of 4 weeks, I felt like everyone was practically family.  They worked so hard and efficiently to get this project done before our baby came and they beyond succeeded.  I sit here 2 days away from my due date and I can honestly say that finding Kris and her husband Billy at Gotham Kitchen and Bath was the second best thing to have happen to us this crazy year of 2020 (besides having a baby).  I would urge everyone no matter how big or small your project is to at least reach out to Gotham to see exactly what I mean.  Thank you endlessly guys, you really made our...

We recently completed a gut kitchen renovation. I am extremely detail oriented and can get bogged down in those details sometimes. I had a clear idea of what I wanted yet needed someone to guide me & help cut thru what can be easily overwhelming. When I met with Kris DeVito to talk about working together and vision for my kitchen I knew I wanted to work with her and that I would be in the BEST hands. The fact that I got Dana working with me too was just icing on the cake! Kris is so many things I’ve struggled with how to convey how truly terrific she is. Most important she’s real and transparent. There’s no BS or lip service here. She will be straight with you , not over promise and then not come thru. If anything, she and Dana do everything they can to overdeliver which is something in the best of times but especially noteworthy in these incredibly challenging times as it relates to lead time, delivery etc. During out lengthy project I’d have a concern to raise to my contractor and when I’d reach out to run it by Kris oftentimes she was already on it & had anticipated what I was thinking. Growing up with a Father in construction and married to a contractor, she’s knowledgeable as to what’s possible & also makes sense. Couple that with also having a fantastic design sense and you’ve got a rare combo and someone that is an invaluable asset to your team. Right hand woman Dana is just a bright light who often made me smile and laugh thru the process. She works diligently with the vendors and delivery teams to work her magic to push delivery thru to you ASAP even in this climate.
