Rehabbed interior, decided not to install recliners , these are some sort of rocking chair contraption that is uncomfortable , depending on the length of your legs your feet may not even touch the ground , for a 90 minute film this may not be an issue , for anything longer it's an exercise in frustration and annoyance . I'm some of the theaters the design of the seats actually partially obscures your line of sight , just weird .
Unless school is out will not show matinees , almost every other theater does this , not this one . On days when they do offer matinees, will start a show at 12 pm so you can't get the matinee price, now that's low.
Their selection selection of films is sometimes curious , they will carry a couple of standard blockbuster films and standard mainstream fare but there will be other films they do not touch . Forget about limited release and art house ( they don't seem to be interested in carrying horror either although they will on occasion ), it's a rarity they will offer something like that. They better step up their game as a multiplex is opening up soon in the next town over which will be serious competition for them .
I do have to say that the customer service is no doubt of a high quality , I never had a problem with any of the employees who have worked there in the 20 or so years I have been a customer.
I enjoy coming here , been a patron since the late 90s, it's only about a 5 minutes walk from me . Live the location, it has an intimate feel , and I feel safe and comfortable going there , it does have some flaws though, as I pointed out previously. If some of those issues were addressed ( admittedly they are issues for me personally smell may not even care shout what I mentioned )in coukd easily see this being a 4 or possibly even a 5 star place but I feel 3 is an accurate representation of the overall quality and the experience you can expect from patronizing...
Read moreIf I could rate this theater 0 starts I would. The manager of this store is a very rude person, I try not to judge people based of single experiences with them people I never know what’s happening in there life, but it’s safe to say that the manager of this store is a miserable rude person. When I was there I entered the wrong theatre and he proceeded to kick me out and tell me to leave. i asked him if i could wait inside because it’s dark out and cold so he told me to wait on a bench and without hesitation i did, but for some reason he called the cops? ALL the cops did was wait outside with me till a ride came to pick me up. the cops time was wasted as well as mine, 80 dollars spent on 4 tickets and food, no movie watched, no refund. he did not let me enter the correct theatre after that because he thought i went into the wrong one on purpose. my sister was also followed by three employees when she got up to go to the bathroom, the male employees even waited outside the woman’s bathroom for her to get out, not sure why but it was super creepy. don’t recommend going here, other amc theatre's are pretty good tho just not the one in...
Read moreSo we watched Barbie. The movie didn't help, since the movie was less than what I'm rating the theater.
First. The seats are extremely outdated. They are extremely close together and unless your a burly man over 190lbs then good luck getting them to recline. My fiance was 137 and was sitting basically straight up.
Second. The temperature in the theater was rediculous. I felt the back of my neck, my legs touching the seats, and shirt was wet with sweat because it was so hot in the theater. My fiance brought a Hoodie like she does when we go to Levittown because it's so hot. Wrong. This place was as hot as a hot yoga session.
And finally. They only have one person working the front counter. So you have to sit behind all the paying customers who didn't take advantage of the convenience of paying ahead so they don't have to wait in a line and show up super early. But they managed to take that luxury away also from our experience.
We have decided to not come to this theater again. It is much worth the drive to Levittown to see a theater that takes pride and uses your money wisely to update as things are...
