Bagel Express — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I used this place maybe 6 times out of convenience. it's the better than no bagle store for me. I've had better bagels. I ordered chicken salad to go with my bagel and it is not good.😐 tried it again thinking hmm they made a mistake."""" I'm ..nope! no good. I've been spoiled by delicious bagels from Jewish own bake shops as ND will go out of my way for a bagle there. Now, today, I'm writing this review because of the rudeness of a female employee there. I noted that several times, she seemed to have an attitude when taking my order. I paid it no mind until today. The line had maybe 8 people waiting, no problem..it was my turn to order. She proceeded to face me and just look at me. Not can I help you or Hi, what's your order. Nothing. Just staring at me. So I said, are you ready? She responds Are You Ready, (attitude), no smilevstone face. Again, I said, "Are you ready. Proceeded to give her my order. And she began to fill the order. When it was time to pay, she was stoned face . My instincts tell me she is one of several things, racist, resentful, or jealous. It's not my fault she's can't get a better job and working in a small local deli, probably making min. wage or less. I have no mercy for her because of her rudeness . I want the owner to see this review. Make some changes. Retrain her employee. By the way, if people find this food great! is because they have not experienced a good quality deli... I have a friend who is handicapped and this is where they like to order their bagles, so I will be going back.. Hopefully, I will not have to embarrass her, now that I have her attitude...

I absolutely love this place. My husband came across this place while working on the rod and he really liked the food and the customer service provided, he liked it so much that he took me and the kids. We ended up getting 12 chicken empanadas, 3 iced coffees, 3 arizona juices, 2 pastries all for $60 which I feel is very reasonable. Other reviews complain about the price and the wait time but I’m pretty sure no one would complain if this was Starbucks. Anyway in my experience this place is really good we will def go back even though we don’t live anywhere near by and we have to drive 30min plus to get there. Heads up if you get iced coffee take a look at the ice in your coffee (the ice is made out of coffee which is really cool). I recommend this place and again when comparing the prices think about those chain/franchise places where you go buy your coffee or pastry for probably twice the price with no complains. ❤️ Support...

I have given this bagel shop multiple chances mostly due to the proximity to my job but each time, I have felt unsatisfied. First, for a place with the name “Express” in it, they are extremely slow in getting orders out. This is mostly due to a language barrier - many mistakes, re-do’s, etc. Second, they are over priced for the service and quality of food offered. Not all bagels are fresh, the cheese danish was beyond stale and spoilt. When it is a fresh bagel, it’s pretty good. To add on to the overpriced items, the store carries a surcharge if you use a card to pay for those overpriced items. At this point, it would be a full breakfast platter at your local diner for the price of one bagel with egg and cheese and a coffee.

I really wish someone would open up a classic bagel store that is reasonably priced and moves...
