I love everything about OTF and what is has done for my fitness journey. I was an athlete all throughout high school and college as well as an AFAA Certified personal trainer in college. I have the knowledge base to get myself, and others, through a tough workout. Starting my professional career, where I struggled was finding the motivation to a- get to the gym after a long day at work and a 2-hour commute, and b- once I got there, motivate myself enough to push through the workout, while doing it at my highest intensity. That wasn't happening and I was so unhappy with myself and my body. Then I went to a trial class at OTF RVC and never looked back really. I go 5 to 6 times a week religiously. I love the coaches, they're all so good at motivating us, so knowledgeable on the exercises and movements and modifying for people who either can't do a movement or want to make it harder. I love the workout itself. The variation in the types or workouts, whether it be a strength, endurance, power or combo workout, give you something different every day which never gets boring, and doesn't ever let us or our muscles plateau. I love the intensity - 1 hour of HARD WORK - 500 - 800 calories burned. I leave OTF classes feeling revived and rejuvenated, even though I'm fully exhausting my body, it's incredible. I literally recommend OTF to everyone who asks me what I do. I give them the "elevator pitch" to friends, coworkers, strangers, anyone who will listen (haha kidding). I love it and I am so happy that I found a workout that I love this much, that motivates me this much, and that leaves me feeling like I gave all I had (as I did when I played college basketball and volleyball). I looked for that for so long and I tried everything, soul cycle, hot yoga, personal training, boot camp classes, but OTF is perfect for me. And the best part of it all, is that it's perfect for everyone! You push yourself to your OWN ability at your OWN pace to get the most out of the workout for your needs. It's truly an inspiration taking classes with people younger than me, my age and much older than me, watching them kick...
Read moreAttempted to try my first Orange Theory class at this location. My class was at 10am and I come in at 9:40 to discuss packages and see the studio to get started.
The woman at the front desk was busy with another client-- understandable. When asked if I'm here for my free class, I respond yes...to which I am told "you had to come 30 minutes before so we could give you the full tour and so you could get the full Orange Theory experience." I asked if 20 minutes was enough and I was told "well actually it's 9:45 so no. But you could fill out this paperwork so you don't have to come early next time." I fill out the paperwork, which took approximately 2 minutes, and I am told I am still not allowed to attend the 10am class. Having walked through the door as a new client 20 minutes before my class, I was expecting to be greeted and offered a tour almost immediately, but I was actually scolded and told that I had to come back either another time or another day because there simply was not enough time to "accommodate" me in that moment. Meanwhile, they are helping other current clients with app issues. Not a great first experience with this location and leaves a sour taste in my mouth about Orange...
Read moreOTF has changed my life, not only physically but mentally. I never knew I was capable of pushing myself the way I do when I’m taking the classes! The coaches are amazing, encouraging and personable. I am getting amazing results and I only joined five weeks ago. One thing I have to be very honest about is that, I have visited other studios like NHP and GCP. It seems that they have more member focused activities such as taking pictures and posting them when they have accomplished a goal, broken a record or simply made it to their 50th class. The welcome desk attendants are more personable and greet you by name. I feel weird when at my home studio they only greet some members by name and not others. That feels a bit discouraging specially when showing up for the 5:00 am every day. But overall my experience has been great, and look forward to seeing even more amazing results. Joining OTF was one of the best decisions I made! It’s teaching me a whole other...
