Staples — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Poor customer service, poor job quality and the staff and managers act like you owed them something. Shameful behavior and lack of professionalism. I bought a chair for home office, paid for the assembly which was going to take one hour. At that point, I decided not to rush things and wait. Today, being the following day after the purchase , I showed up with my receipt to pick up my chair. Nobody knows what to do , you know the routine, they call this guy and that guy etc. now I’m mad , get very upset, did apologize for outburst and decided to have them called me. In other words the chair was not assembled.

One hour later , got phone call , chair is ready and stuff. Again being nice and all , I mentioned that while my outburst was inappropriate yet it seems some improvement have to be implemented on their part to assure better customer service. Got home with the chair and upon further examination I noticed that the bolts were not fastened properly and that one of them was missing. I have it with this aggravation and decided to go to Home Depot and find the bolt install it and handle the proper installation of the chair. For staples staff all they did was put the bolts in place and covert it. I paid 20 dollars for installation that was mediocre and poorly managed.

This location is horrible. I initially came to get stickers made. They’re so understaff that I had to wait on the checkout line just to ask a question about my printing services. After waiting 35 minutes the young man was very patient and helpful. I was able to print my stickers but forgot to cut them before I left. I came today (5/18/2025 @ 5:15 pm) and the young man behind the counter was not helpful at all. I tried to cut my stickers but couldn’t. I tried so much I messed up one of my stickers. He told me that he couldn’t personally help me use the cutter. I showed him how my sticker was messed up because I tried and he asked me what did I want him to do. He then walked over to the cutter and cut one sheet for me but didn’t help me with anything else. After spending $100 for stickers it’s disappointing feeling like you’re not fully serviced . Will never come back here . NOT TO MENTION…..HE HAD A MASK ON, LOOKED VERY SICK AND WAS BREATHING EXTRA HEAVY !!HE COULD BARELY COMPLETE ONE SENTENCE WITHOUT TAKING A PAUSE AND CATCHING...

I have mixed feelings about this review on the one hand the store is well-stocked at the Staples office supply should be on the other hand the copy center seems to be rather chaotic I didn't realize I was standing in the wrong section and literally five people walked past me and not one person bothered to say anything this could be poor customer service training where they are so busy that they couldn't bother to focus on the human.

On the other hand when I finally made it to the counter and managed to get the attention of an employee, the transaction took 10 seconds I also like being able to turn in my UPS packages there.
