Today my family and I visited this park. We love country parks by the water, this time we stayed here. Parking $10, a very nice woman sold us a ticket and told us what the park has. The area is not very big, but green. There are enough tables, grills, for us this is important because we love picnics. We were here from 12 to 4pm, at first there were very few people, then almost all the tables were occupied. The park has an embankment along which you can walk to the lighthouse and further to the pier, etc. Next to the park there is a fenced large area where construction is underway, but this did not interfere with relaxation. The embankment is new, well-kept, with gazebos and benches, there are also fountains with drinking water, which is very important in the heat, I did not find any fountains in the park itself. The only downside, like all other parks, is the companies that loudly listen to Latin/Mexican music, preventing others from enjoying the sounds of nature and just relaxing from the big city. I...

Unfortunately, the bathrooms were closed during our visit, and only portable toilets were available—these were extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The lack of clean restroom facilities and the poor service were disappointing, especially for families with kids. Read moreThis park is very relaxing right by the hudson river with playground,grills, bathrooms an plenty of parking. Park has a fee $5 for sleepy hollow residents and $10 for non residents. Park has several grills, there's a few benches facing the river. Park has a section where u can walk down to the water like a small beach. Dog friendly and just a place to get away specially if you live in the jungle that is NYC. You can walk and see the lighthouse and beautiful mural and of course great views of the MCB (tappan zee). Park is very clean aswell. Definitely worth visiting for a nice outing with family...
