Lake Success Shopping Center — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

I love Lake Success Shopping Center. I grew up near here in Bellerose and spent a lot of time flying to NY to take care of my aged parents. Lake Success saved the day! The Bagel Store has my favorite bagels at decent prices as well as whitefish salad and other delights; there used to be Loehman’s but now it’s a Macy’s discount store, which is fine; there’s Iavarone’s which is a huge, fabulous Italian Deli, Market, Bakery and a restaurant and takeout with fantastic chicken parm rolls (like a calzone with chicken parm and tomato sauce in it). Someone wanted fast food here. Are you nuts?! Between Iavarone’s and the Bagel Boss, fast food would be extremely unnecessary and tacky. There is (or was) a Bed and Bath where they’re as nice as can be, a convenient POST OFFICE! Yay! and a hardware store which saved my life on many occasions. There is a very uninspired kosher deli restaurant which could be better, admittedly, but you can go around the corner to Starbucks instead if you want huge corporate fast food. As a kid my friends and I used to ride our bikes here, go bowling and next to the bowling alley was a department store called “Lanes” which we used to think was funny because it was next to the bowling alley. My parents are gone now, and I’ve lived in California for 32 years, but I totally miss...

Yesterday was my first time inside lake success shopping center .I have to admit that lavarone Italian kitchen pizzeria is my favorite restaurant in side lake success,the pizza was really tasty I ordered a barbecue chicken slice .with some mozzarella cheese sticks. The mall has a lot go to choose from, from Macy's stage store ,game stop ,children place, to Carter's children's clothing. I love shopping their for my little son.dont forget about Marshall's, I didn't really like there Marshall's because they didn't really have anything. But the marshalls is marshalls shoes,not the regular store.plus they turned the modells store that went out of business in to a Christmas party store with all kinds of decorations and Christmas trees.

The list goes on for the different restaurants ,I was able to walk up to shake shack to check out there decor.I also was able to look inside game stop,which was a really decent size store.futher down the strip mall they have Halloween party shop which had some really fun things inside. Don't forget about the huge...

Barely any food options. There's baja fresh, pizza, sushi, bagels, and frozen yogurt. That's it. The pizza place also has a restaurant but it's far too expensive for lunch, especially if you work in the area and need to eat lunch at these places mon thru fri. Oh, and the sushi place is also expensive and i do not remember tasting anything particularly good...just blah. No places that are really kid friendly. Oh and the bagel place is kosher ONLY, meaning no ham or sausage in the breakfast sandwiches EVER. Only option are eggs, eggs and fake bacon, tuna or some assortment of spread. Only underwear place is Victoria's secret and we all know that you can't get a bra there for under 30 bucks if that. Oh, and if you only want a bottle of water or a fruit cup...Ha!!! Everything is priced as if we were in Manhattan. Dont like it at all but i work across the street so i dont have much of a choice, aside from bringing my own lunch. Wish they had an H&M or something instead of the super expensive Express store. Though i gotta say, i do love Bed...
