Hicksville Athletic Center — Attraction in Town of Oyster Bay

Good facility for the town. Town employees are helpful and nice. Event management has improved in my prospective. There is no fixed opening hours. The facility is open for events organized by the Town of Oyster Bay's Department of Park and Recreation, and Nassau County Police League. If you want to get registration info for events or query a list of events available, you should contact these organizations first. In case you just want a building visit, when you see people inside the building, the public is only free to go into the building's main lobby area as well. You can find posting of some events (don't expect all) and forms by the main gym entrance door which is also next to the concession window. You can also stop by the concession window (if it opens) or just ask around for the current event's responsible staffs. There is always at least 1 town employee on duty in the building when it is open for events. However, the employee moves around to take care of the events and the building, instead of sitting at a desk to greet visitors. Rob is the best!!!! Nice gym. Although they dont really care for the adult basketball rec play, it is a nice facility. The PAL league sometimes runs over into our time, which caused us to always lose our regular play time. We already got bumped out of our Wednesday night spot. They just keep taking advantage of us.
