This gym is... good....ish. It's probably the best one in the area. It's part of a complex with a hotel, restaurants, and an arcade. It's very cramped in there. All of the equipment is jam packed in. I don't think there's room for 1 more piece of equipment anywhere. I have been there 3 times now and 2 of those times no one was at the front desk. After waiting for over 10 minutes I just left. I had to go there 3 times before I could get signed up by someone. They seem to offer some great stuff that I will be checking out. A smoothie bar, which I look forward to trying; a few fitness classes, coaching. VO2 max, RMR testing, and body fat analysis with an Inbody machine. I went to one spin class so far and I was not impressed at all. I was obviously new there, but there was no introduction or instructions. It was just, "Go". I had never used those bikes before, and things like "first position", "second position", "third position" meant nothing to me. I just looked at everyone else to see what to do. It seems like everyone likes the instructor, so I'll give him time before I form an opinion, but to me, he seemed more like a member that stepped in for an absent instructor. Nothing about him screamed, 'I'm a professional fitness instructor'. I will go for a month and check out the other classes as well as use the equipment. I'm more interested in the classes since I have a gym at home now. I gave 4 stars instead of 3 because it is the best gym I've been to in the area so far with all that it offers, but compared to other gyms I've been to throughout the years...
Read moreI have been a member for years and after Covid this facility has gone downhill since then. The gym is always dirty and so is the locker rooms. They take more pride in their classes than actually maintaining the gym. There is never enough room to complete the workouts and since it’s become a high school locker room for all the younger ones to hang out on equipment and talk rather then actually using it for a workout. Also my child has always used the locker rooms and to shower and change with some privacy when using the Champys pool. Today I was denied access and told I would need to either use the ones inside the pool or walk around outside mind you she has a wet head to the eclipse entrance if I wanted privacy for her to properly shower and change. They smirked at me and found it funny because I was obviously upset how I was being treated and gross facility. I was being told this when I could walk through the door I always use to be at the locker rooms. AND not only that eclipse has messed up my billing this year and due to their error stopped me multiple times from going into the gym saying I had a balance due when I been changed monthly on my card. I’m disgusted with what...
Read moreI spent over a month going back and forth via email about trying to schedule a V02 Max test. They said they needed an extra cable to get it working, so it was delayed by another week. Later on I got a call saying it still wasn't ready. Then after talking to them on the phone for a third time they said it was "ready" so I make a trek over the ferry and took hours out of my day to do so and then I get there, the machine wasn't even setup and ready. You'd think they'd want to have it ready after months of back and forth for the customer. But then once I get going it failed and wouldn't even work. We tried a few times, but just didn't get anywhere with it. The staff said they tested it, but that doesn't matter since I would have tested it at least 3 times to ensure it would work for a customer. The staff were on their phones most of the time which I'm sure wasn't related, and to add the cherry on the top. I had to spend about $200 for this testing. It...
