New York Nail Two — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

I will only go here, Mai is one of the best nail ladies I have ever been to in the area! She is so good at her profession and she takes such pride that she will not let you leave until both you and her are satisfied with the results. I like my nails to look real, to look thin and she constantly looks as she's filing to make sure they are and that they're not like those thick looking ones! She's also licensed in makeup tattooing, eye brows are her specialty as well as eyeliner. The prices are great but mostly she is fabulous at what she does! My next post will be some pictures of my nails. I wanted to add that I just had my eyebrows done by Mai and wow! I think if you are thinking about doing it you won't be sorry. I will say that when you first look in the mirror it might surprise you but they will lighten up and they will get a little thinner. Just think of the time you'll save not having to do them anymore! UPDATE: I am taking away a star. I got my nails done on Aug 19, so exactly 2 weeks ago, and my gel nails are just falling apart. I attached pictures (mauve colors) where the chipping and peeling is very severe. I have a pretty sedentary life right now (off for the summer) so I haven’t done anything to really mess it up this much. I am very disappointed. The last manicure lasted for a full month before chipping, same as many other places I have gone. Also I would like to note that the manicure itself wasn’t the best, it was lumpy and had uneven spots from the beginning.

First Review: So this place is really nice inside and the prices are great! Overall they did a good job with the nails too. I can’t rate 5 stars though for two reasons. 1. Love the results, but not happy with the inflation of prices. Every time I'm charged a different (and higher) price for the same service. A Fill and Gel polish today was 38$ two weeks ago $35. I was talked into a Gel pedicure last visit which was more money (as expected) but I had no idea I'd be charged an additional $5 today take off the Gel this visit. Insane!!!! But never again. I had a fill 2 weeks ago and was charged 5$ Extra for a re-shape. Today I'm charged once again $5.00 for a re-shape?! It's been 2 weeks and my nails obviously grew but why should I have to pay for a re-shape as if I changed the shape of my nail completely?! After every fill no matter where I go the shape gets cleaned up, that's part of the service!!. I was told my nails are narrow (coffin-ish) so each time they need to be re-shaped. Ridiculous!
