Every time I go there the team is always in the back crafting their craft. Everything that comes out of this place is made in that small little kitchen back there by people who care . You can really tell when you taste it. Don’t shy from the basics, it is some of their best stuff. Also, the extra large cookies bottom shelf. The front porch is cool and somewhat perched for a real nice view of the park across the street.

I would also highly recommend this spot for goods you are bringing to someone else’s house.

My only heads up is the hours. Sometimes they open at 9. Weekends at 8, but, as with the craft, consistency is key. I bet they get there early early anyway and there is a good reason behind it; just a bummer when I’m driving by on my way to get the day started.

I also wish they sold a super simple egg sandwich on their croissants. A boy can dream. Or just cook em at...

Cute. They have every sweet I can think of, from cookies to cakes and they are all so beautiful. For the savory lover, they also have some killer-looking sandwiches (a nice lunch alternative for the person on the go). Some veggie options too (grilled cheese, veggie & goat cheese, tomato mozzarella). I do think the inside could use a bit of an update. I know it's a bakery, but a little interior decorating could really bring some life to the place.

The croissant and coffee my boyfriend and I shared were good, but my favorite part was honestly the little courtyard to the right of the building. There are a few tables and chairs out there for guests to enjoy; it is the perfect little sanctuary off of...

I stopped by this Bakery while exploring Greenport, and the variety of items drew me in. The group I was with ordered several items including a Napoleon, cupcakes, and Apple Turnovers. Most of the group enjoyed what they ordered, but I was left disappointed with the cupcake. While the frosting was delicious, the cake portion was dense (seemed like it had been sitting in a refrigerator for a while). Additionally the cake portion didn't have much flavor, leaving the icing as the only flavor. I tried other cupcakes the group ordered that, while still dense, had a better flavor blend. I would be willing to try something else here next time, I'll just stay away from...

Blue Duck Bakery Café is such a cute place in Greenport. The bread is always fresh and full of flavor, and the pastries are the kind you can’t stop thinking about after you leave. It’s the perfect spot for a morning coffee, a light lunch, or just grabbing something sweet to enjoy by the water. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff make you feel right at home. Did you know Blue Duck Bakery Café first opened in Southampton back in 1999 and quickly became known for its European-style artisan breads? That tradition of quality is still alive in every loaf and pastry here.

I had a turkey, tomato, avocado and cheese sandwich on Italian bread. The nice lady grilled it for me and it was delicious. A fine fine broccoli and cheese soup. And a to-die-for blueberry turnover; bursting with flavor but not overly sweet. All in a cutely refurbished house with 4 or 5 tables where you could dine in if you wanted to (which I did). The display had pies and pastries and cakes and cookies, which I would love to have tried but was full from my meal and just passing through. I can’t imagine anyone not loving this place.
