This is a great little museum for a quick stop packed floor to ceiling, literally, with Truckee history. Everything there is meant to be touched and interacted with. The guide who greeted us was friendly, welcoming, and very personable. The owner? Boss? also came in and was a delight. I asked him a question about something I'd read in the artifacts, and he didn't know! I patted myself on the back for stumping him 😆 and then he looked up the answer. It was fun learning together! Read moreThis museum is small, but is full of interesting exhibits and local information. Nothing that is too deep or unmanageable but unique and fascinating. Greg, the docent in attendance was an absolute pleasure - he enthusiastically expanded on many of the exhibits and made our short visit all the more enjoyable. We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday, one hour before their 4pm closing time. After me and my family began walking in, the rude docent came out of nowhere and shooed us out and claimed that she was closing the museum and no one could enter.
