I have lived in Aspire Tucson the past year and must say it was the worst living experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The manager is extremely unfriendly, irresponsible and hard to talk to. In my opinion he is the sole reason this apartment complex has gone down to a whopping 1 star and I am sure it will stay that way as long as he is here. The apartment complex is poorly managed, dirty, not complete and the amenities were not even available for the first 8 months of living here even when competing apartment complexes opened amenities. He finds just about every excuse in the book to keep them closed.
When I first moved in, they didn't know I was coming? Sounds pretty weird right but seriously my father and I moved all of my stuff up here for them to tell me my apartment was not ready... ON THE MOVE IN DATE AND TIME GIVEN TO ME. I was told to return home ( I do not even live in Tucson...) and to come back later. How un-professional. They hadn't repainted my apartment nor cleaned it and I ended up moving in like that. Mind you, this is a "Luxury" apartment complex. The apartment's oven was also broken when I moved in and they said they would fix it, they just were waiting for the new parts. 10 months later the oven is still broken and we have not been able to use it all year. It would be one thing if this place was as cheap as the manager but my roommates and I pay over $1300 a month to live here... Our AC constantly broke, the gym and pool were closed for basically the entire leasing period, the manager watches the cameras and monitors what people do throughout the day, and he fines tenants for just about everything. Sounds like a great guy amiright!!
The rooms require a fob to enter them, these fobs constantly break resulting in being locked out of your apartment at random times. They then require you to pay a $300 fee in order to get back into your apartment. The elevators also require a fob which break constantly, I once went 3 weeks without access to the elevators nor being able to open my apartment door because they could not fix my fob. Oh and if you lose it? $50.
I could go on and on about how poor this apartment is managed but I'll end with one last thing. This apartment complex a couple months back had an Instagram page created for the sole purpose to get support from other tenants to complain and bring to attention how bad this place really was, it got a large following quickly with credible pictures and information from current tenants with all of the problems the apartment has that were never fixed. This account was sadly taken down but when this happened the manager went door to door asking for help from us to find out who made the account so he could go after them. He even bribed myself and several of my friends with rewards from him if we told him who made the account and helped him shut it down. We were shocked that he would come into our apartment at 10:00 PM begging us, bribing us for help after treating us so poorly throughout our 12 month lease. We did not know anything about who created the account but he was adamant on silencing the legitimate critics. It was honestly pretty funny watching him sweat and stutter but he definitely deserved it.
Stay away until they...
Read moreMy biggest regret of 2024 was signing a lease to live at this apartment complex. I moved in January 2024 for a short lease that ended July 31. When I signed this lease, I was told that I needed to wait a few days so that they could fix the wall and clean my bedroom since I was getting passed on this lease from someone else. When I got my keys and moved in, I saw that they did not fix the damage that was done on the bathroom wall. They also did not clean the bedroom or bathroom. When I called to ask about the bathroom wall, I was told that maintenance would come in sometime during the week to finish it. That never happened. At the end of my lease after only being there for 6 months and never hanging ANYTHING on the wall and leaving NO damages and leaving it completely CLEANED I was charged $700 for the final statement. After looking at pictures in the portal, it was clear that other than the damage they were going to fix, everything was left with no damages and clean. My mom and I cleaned the entire common area, my room, and my bathroom. We found it insane that after living 3 years at Oliv I was only charged $250 for actual damages done to the wall (ripped off paint). And for only 6 months at aspire with no damages done, I was charged $700 for nonexistent damages and “painting” that is done routinely every year prior to new resident move in regardless. We have yet to hear back from Megan after trying to contact her for the past 2 months and sending her an entire typed letter explaining the situation and asking for proof of damage. The unprofessionalism at this apartment complex is sad, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone in the future. They take advantage of college students and charge for everything. It almost seems like they are purposely not responding so that this can be sent to collections and be too late for them to make...
Read moreSTAY AWAY! As also seen from many other reviews, ASPIRE TUCSON allowed students to move in prior to the apartments being completely move-in ready in which the main problem was walls being damaged and ceiling and walls needing painting. Now that many of the first group of residents have moved out, in which I am sure due to the managements lack of response to issues throughout their year residency, ASPIRE is demanding we pay for painting of the apartment that was never done completely upon move-in. I have called and management is never available to speak on the phone and I am told by the phone attendant that I need to write an email in which I have filed two letters disputing the alleged damage and charges which were documented by them upon move-in and of course I can't get a response back from Aspire Management. This is fraudulent as they will not even discuss the issue with me or respond back to my disputes and now my daughter is now receiving letters she is going to a collection agency. I don't need the standard written response from Aspire at the end of this review on how they take these seriously and to stop by the office to discuss, they need do the right thing and respond back to their residents that paid their rent faithfully and on time even through a pandemic that shut down the University. Unfortunately many of us our forced to pay this demand as ASPIRE appears to have all the power in taking us to collections affecting my twenty year old daughters credit as well as my own with no recourse except entering an exhausting fight with a collections agency. Good...
