The store manager or shift lead, not sure which, was so hostile and not welcoming at all. I went in there 30-20 minutes before closing, I knew the time so me and my dad weren't gonna stay there long we just wanted to look around a bit because we quite like the store and the manager or whomever was training a new girl. From the time we walked in to the time we left which probably was about 10 minutes total he complained about us and another family being there. He kept saying loudly how he hated people coming in 20 minutes before closing and destroying everything because he has to get home too and was just complaing about us being there. He also said to her, "should I close the gate so they know to get out?" It was still before closing, I'd understand if it was past closing and he was getting annoyed but they were still fully open. He was just complaining about us the entire time while we were right there to this new employee. Then he went and closed the gate half way with 15 minutes til closing. It was a very unfriendly experience and I've gone back a few times and the same guy is always not working but leaning behind the counter gossiping with other employees, anyone goes up to the counter to pay he acts like the customer is interrupting him and acts annoyed, all the other employees immediatelytend to the customers with smiles and are really welcoming. I love the store but find it hard to want to go back because I don't want to see the manager, he's always so hostile. If you're gonna complain about customers atleast don't do it in their earshot and don't complain about having to do the basics about your job. I dont wanna go into a store and know the workers dont want me there at all, its not really even a customer service thing but just decency. If you close at a certain time don't complain people are there before the certain time. We came in and left all before the store was closed, we didn't pick up any clothing that would need to be refolded all we did was...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE - Google "FYE scam" and read all the reddit threads and consumer affairs reports. ONLY USE CASH AT THIS STORE AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. They will sign you up to a scam subscription service and magazine subscription without your consent. - This was a cool store and there were some good deals, but the guy at the counter tricked me. He told me if I gave him my email and phone number for their rewards program I can save 10%, which I did. Little did I know that this was a monthly paid subscription and they also sell your information and sign you up for magazine subscriptions that you need to cancel separately. The website has the tiniest little link that you need to find "Where's Waldo" style in order to cancel, and when you find it they say that they are in the process of canceling it and will email you when it is processed, but will never email you back. You need to CALL and even then they try all sorts of tactics to get you to not cancel with them....
Read moreNever had a problem at this store until tonight. Looking around for some possible Christmas presents. There was an employee kind of following me around. No problem here, I had a big jacket and obviously was not stealing anything. It was kind of weird that he didn't say hello or anything. Didn't have exactly what I was looking for so I decided to another store.
At the other store I walk around for a bit and find something. I am about to pick it up when a security guard tells me I have to leave the mall because of something I did at the other store (FYE). I guess changing your mind is now an offense. I assume they called security because they thought I stole something and when they realized I didn't they were too embarrassed to let me go.
No wonder malls are going down, they harass customers and show no...
