Michaels — Attraction in Tucson

I am updating a five-star review I wrote here 5 years ago. We have done A LOT of custom framing here over the last 4 years or so. We've done everything from posters, to prints, to post cards, to original fine art. We wanted top-notch framing done right while still being affordable. In every case except one we've been 100% happy! (that being an isolated case where a trainee did the framing). The person who totally went the extra mile to make this all happen was Abby. Abby stands out as an excellent employee that provides exceptional service and adheres to the very highest standard of quality. I want to like this Michael's much more than I do. I feel as though over half of my trips here with something in mind to purchase (as opposed to just stopping in to peruse), I had a REALLY hard time finding what I was after. The staff seems content to let customers be, but when you can't find something it'd be nice to be able to get some help eventually. Regardless, during the holiday season this store can be quite the madhouse, but otherwise it's pretty straight-forward as far as Michael's stores go--the items just seem to be lacking a real logical placement, and sometimes something you'd expect to see in one isle is totally on the other side of the store. I've always found what I was looking for EVENTUALLY, but usually frustrated and robbed of time that could have been better used on something better than...

The manager at this store is extremely rude. There were a minimum of 15 customers in line. When I asked if they had called for back up she very rudely screamed at me “WE DID!” After a few minutes one by one 3 cashiers came up. I told the young lady that helped “thank you for coming up to help”. The manager gave me another one of what I can only assume is one of her regular smug looks and mouthed of to me. I went outside and decided to go back in. Lo and behold she is the manager. Again more smart comments, and her telling me who her boss was. I’m assuming her boss lets her get away with her rude behavior. Not to mention the store is trashed. Her behavior alone is most likely why the store is going under.
