I went to Spa Solei on Jan 18, and purchased their elite package (includes manicure, pedicure, facial, and massage). Everyone there was very nice and complete professionals and they took extra precautions to prevent Covid, so this review isn’t about the staff nor the building. After my nail polish started to peel off (which it normally does after a few days because I use my hands a lot) I noticed a small dark spot on my middle finger nail. Originally I thought that maybe I had accidentally hit my hand, which could have caused a sore underneath the nail, but that wasn’t the case. After my pinky nail polish came off, I noticed a green fungus on my nail and was immediately enraged. I have been getting nail polish of my nails for years (mostly glitter because it tends to last longer) and NEVER has fungus grown underneath the nail polish. That’s disgusting. I don’t know if the utensils used were clean enough, or if their nail polish is extremely cheap, but this is unacceptable. The only reason as to why this review has 2 stars and not 1 was the service. Your employees brought this review up. I would suggest that management throw out their polish and buy new ones, or bring in your own polish from home.

I love this place. It’s very quite and private. It often feels like I am the only one there. They use dazzle dry which is by far my favorite nail polish brand, it dries faster and last 10 days+ Rosalie is great!

I am normally get my massages/facials on the east side since I live out in Vail, but needed to do spa packages for three so found Spa Solai. The inside is very lovely, quiet and welcoming. We did the 2.5 hour package which included a facial, 50 minute massage and mint foot scrub. We were all promptly brought back -- later I figured out while I started with the facial, my two girlfriends started with the massage. The overall experience and staff there were wonderful, the price excellent. One of my girlfriends from out of town said her massage therapist was the 2nd best she had had in her lifetime... and I would imagine she has had a lot of massages.

I have two pieces of feedback for my experience. First, between the massage and facial -- they should have your next room ready. Instead, you redress pretty much and go sit back out in the side lobby area where the mani/pedi room is. I was also a little annoyed that my two friends got 80 minute massages and mine was only 50. (sure I was a little jealous!) I was 80 minutes in the facial room, although she did spend a lot of time on my feet in there; she spent a lot of time on my face outside of the facial with some cream/gel just massaging and rubbing. Well I just had some facial surgery and probably could have done without the extra facial time (and yes, I put that on the paperwork I filled out) I guess my point is, that you should probably tell folks up front they are getting facials that are close to an hour and a half since some are probably okay with 30-40 but not 80.

Other than that feedback, I would not hesitate to come back here as the overall experience and staff...

I’ve been super stressed and overwhelmed and also have a special event coming up this week, so I booked a spa day package (4.5 hours) to help relax. I told them ahead of time that I like a good amount of pressure, but the massage was bad. I felt like I was flinching the whole time, and asked multiple times to take the pressure down. I finished the massage (I even paid to upgrade it to 110 minutes) and didn’t feel relaxed or rejuvenated whatsoever. Later that night, it physically hurt to lay down on my bed because it felt like I had been punched all over my body. I woke up this morning and I am covered in massive bruises literally everywhere (neck, arms, back, legs, hips, shoulders) and it felt like I fell down a flight of stairs, not like I paid $500 for a spa day. To add insult to injury, I also paid extra to have my brows waxed at the same time as the facial. The wax was way too hot, but I didn’t say anything because wax is supposed to be hot. I went on to my manicure and pedicure, and my eyes were really really hurting. I took out my phone to look at my face and I had major burns all along the underside of my eyebrows. I asked for aloe Vera gel, and when that didn’t help the pain or burning, I asked for a color towel to hold against my face, and they gave me some skin salve. I was told that it would be gone by this morning and the burns have only gotten worse. I felt like this was supposed to be a great experience where I felt pampered and taken care of, and it feels like it was a nightmare, especially right before a big event in a few days. Do...

I have been here before and always had a good experience but today was subpar.

The massage therapist told me it would be $10 more for a hot and cold treatment. He put IceHot on my back. I asked when he was going to do the treatment. He then told me that the IceHot was the treatment. The therapist’s nails were too long and were digging into my skin. I mentioned it to the massage therapist but there was no apology. The massage therapist seemed irritated that I said something. He didn’t check in with me at all about the pressure. I communicated to him what I needed several times regarding the pressure. Then he ended the massage two minutes before he should have and I didn’t get my full 50 minutes. I didn’t realize this until he left the room and I looked at the clock. When I pay for 50 minutes, I expect 50 min.

The one thing I can say is that the massage therapist focused on the area I requested and overall the massage did feel good.

I feel frustrated because I could have asked for a student to do the massage but chose a professional due to my neck issues, and I feel that the massage was student quality. I will be looking elsewhere for massages in the future.

Afterwards , I felt more tense than when I went in for...
