Midtown Village shines as Tuscaloosa’s premier shopping and dining destination. Over the years, I've watched it grow and evolve—through shifting storefronts, upgraded amenities, and thoughtful landscaping—making it an ever‑refreshing visit.
The outdoor common areas are charming and functional: elegant white lighting overhead, sturdy benches, and well‑maintained water fountains create a warm, communal atmosphere. The addition of a green park space adds a welcome respite for strolls, meet‑ups, or a quiet break amidst retail therapy.
Regarding food, the Village offers a well‑rounded culinary lineup:
• Blaze Pizza – build‑your‑own personal pies with fast, friendly service; • Panera Bread – reliable for soups, salads, and pastries; • LongHorn Steakhouse & Buffalo’s Café – hearty, sit‑down American fare ; • Taziki’s Mediterranean Café – fresh zesty bowls, wraps, and pita plates ; • Fuku Ramen – savory Japanese‑style ramen bowls ; • The Baked Bear – customizable ice‑cream sandwiches for a sweet treat ; • Tropical Smoothie Café – smoothies and light bites ; • El Agave – vibrant Mexican‑inspired dishes ; • Chip Cookies – fresh-baked cookies by the dozen ; • Five Guys, Wingstop, and Fruit Lovely – classic comfort food and quick‑serve options .
Beyond food, retail staples like Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Nike Factory Store, Ulta, Old Navy, Aerie, LOFT, Lululemon, and more offer diverse shopping experiences .
Midtown Village isn’t just a plaza—it’s a community hub. Whether grabbing a smoothie, settling in with a steak dinner, or browsing boutiques, it consistently delivers a polished, enjoyable outing. Five stars all the way!

A delightful outdoor strip mall consisting of restaurants, electronics stores, clothiers, and more, Midtown (in my opinion) began the revitalization of the McFarland/15th Street portion of Tuscaloosa. This has led to further developments such as Legacy Park and infrastructure improvements in this portion of town. The mall even has a gated playground and open grassy area if shopping isn't one's thing. Midtown village has completely changed the way Tuscaloosa looks and feels to me, a long time native, and I believe it's changed it...
