Mark's Hallmark Shop — Attraction in Upper St. Clair

12/2/21 at around 1030am I went in to see if I could exchange an item I bought in at another location out of state about a month earlier. Before I went to the counter, I looked around to see if I could find the item I'd want in exchange but couldn't find the same brand. Once I went to talk to the sales clerk I set the item and my receipt on the counter and asked if I could have help exchanging it. She immediately said "it's dangerous to have an item like that out of the bag" and this threw me offguard. I asked what she meant and she responded "How would I know if you picked that up right now and tried to get money back for it?" I said "But I have the receipt with me for it?" And she just said "that doesn't matter it could be any old receipt." So she proceeded to look it over and see I had purchased the item from a hallmark. I asked if she could look to see if they even had the same brand and after she looked she told me they didn't. So what I've taken away from this entire encounter is she accused me of possibly stealing an item from their store which they don't even have in order to rip them off. I couldn't even respond I was so shocked at how this woman spoke to me I just left jaw dropped. I understand with the holidays being close people can be on edge and intense but that's totally unacceptable. Never shopping at ANY hallmark stores...

The store is very clean and organized. Great selection as well. The problem is customer service. I came into the store around 12:30 to buy my wife a birthday gift and an older lady was putting price tags on items, and the other lady walked right past me, and acted like I wasn't even there. After 3 mins I said what am I a ghost or something. The older lady said sorry over and over. I honestly think she didn't see me, but the other one was like sorry I didn't see you. That's funny cause you looked right at me before you tried to ignore me and get your work done. Don't work in customer service if you don't want to help people, and...

Purchased 100 on 11/25/18. They were all Christmas gifts. Today started wrapping and noticed one was damaged. I drove back to this location to exchange and the associate accused me of damaging the product and asked why I waited so long to return it. When I explained that I too worked in retail and I’ve been busy working she gave me a dirty look and told me that all the stock was out to go pick something out. I will never go back to this...
