Indiana Furniture and Mattress — Attraction in Valparaiso

We wanted to get a good couch and we found the one we liked at this store. We financed the couch and were promised a delivery within 10-12 weeks due to it being custom made and COVID (which is understandable). I am not here to say this is a bad store, I am here to tell you about my experience and hopefully it will help you in your decision making process. Not at one point did I get a call from the store to tell me the couch was delayed, I had to call and ask myself on week 12th Every week the couch was delayed more and more and we ended up getting 2/3 pieces 4 weeks after the promised date and 3d piece of the couch another 4 weeks later. The couch came with 2 decorative pillows that were made in the wrong color, I called the store to let them know they delivered the wrong ones and they asked me to come in. At the store i was told that the color delivered is the color I wanted (they delivered the same pillows as the display ones and I picked a color that was not even remotely close). They placed an order for new pillows. I placed the order for the couch on July 12th, I got my 3d piece on 12/10 and new pillows on 12/23 According to the store my couch was made on time but they didnt have any drivers to drive it down to Indiana from California and then when they only delivered 2 pieces, they said the 3d piece just didnt fit in the truck I asked for a discount and was told that they are not able to give one until I asked to speak to a manager and they gave me 92$ off (5%) :) During the purchase I was told that with the financing my first payment will be 30 days after i receive the couch. As mentioned above I received my final piece on 12/10, however by then the store has already sent off the payment info to the bank and I was charged a late fee, even though today is only 12/24. I know this year has been rough for a lot of businesses but I think that good customer service goes a long way and unfortunately its something this store cannot offer. Love...

Exceptional customer service and quality furniture. This was our 5th purchase at Indiana Furniture over the last few years. They have a great staff - from the sales people to delivery guys. CALLIE FULLER is the absolute best sales person you could ask for! She's not a pushy sales person at all, she doesn't hover while you shop, but is available nearby in case you need help or to answer any questions you have. She's highly knowledgeable and is a GREAT designer to help you figure out what best suits your needs. She doesn't try to pressure you into anything, she just presents you with all the information, so you can make a decision you feel comfortable and confident with. I tend to be a little unsure of exactly what will fit well & what will look good together, but Callie always has great design tips & I have always been super happy with all her design ideas. She actually remembers our previous purchases, so that's helpful that she knows what will look good in other rooms as we redecorate, and helps keep some continuity of the style throughout the house. She's helped us redecorate our home, and we LOVE how it's turned out! We gave her a general idea of the style we were going for & she was able to really put together some great pieces that we might not have considered, that turned out to be absolutely perfect! She seems like she really wants you to be happy with your purchase. It's not just a sale to her. If you go there, I suggest you ask for Callie...you will be very happy with her. I've dealt with a few other sales staff there too & no disrespect to them at all, they were great also, but Callie is so helpful & just an absolute pro at what she does. After carefully shopping around for new recliners and a sofa, I finally decided I would spend my hard earned money at Indiana furniture. My salesperson Sam, was really easy to deal with. He helped me pick out the best recliners and found a sofa to match. Not only did they allow me to spend hours figuring everything out, they offered me beverages and made me feel like I was at home.

After finalizing the purchase, Sam took care of all the paperwork and explained how the order would take a few weeks and he would call and let me know as soon as everything arrived and when they could deliver. Well, everything arrived ahead of schedule and was delivered within a few days. The delivery guys were very respectful of my home and laid out drop cloths to keep my house clean as they brought in the new furniture.

Now not everyone is perfect. After taking delivery I noticed the chairs were not the correct fabric and color. After a quick visit to the store and talking to Gary the manager, he was able to correct my issue and get the chairs swapped out within a couple of days. What I originally thought was going to be a nightmare turned out to be yet another super customer service experience at Indiana Furniture.

The overall experience with Indiana furniture has made me feel like I made the best choice not only in my purchase, but as a long term customer they will be there for me. I will be back and will be recommending them to all my friends and...
