My fiance and I went to this GameStop to buy a hard drive for an Xbox 360 and a data transfer cable for the same console. We also bought some games at the same time. My fiance had called ahead to see if the hard drive was in, which they said it was. We get there only to find that they had not even looked to see if they had in stock, so why they said they did is beyond me. It seemed like helping us was a bother. When we got there, there was nobody there, so I don't understand why it was a problem. It seemed like there was a general attitude of us being a bother when they went in the back to find and retrieve the hard drive. Fast forward about 15 minutes: come to find out they don't have the hard drive, even though they said on the phone that they did. Something about a mislabeling. Ok. Fine. So we decide to go ahead and get a data cable and some games. They gave us the wrong data cable. Not only did they give us the wrong data cable, one of the games that I had bought for Xbox 360 they gave me the PS3 version. Why treat a customer who was about to drop a fairly good amount of money in the stor with an attitude of annoyance and it just they made us feel like it was a bother to help us. If you're going to make your customers feel like a bother why are you in...
Read moreStopped by since I was a few doors down and my son has been bugging me for a different 360 game. They didn't have much appropriate for his age.. but I found 2 cheap games for $2.99 and $4.99. The line was long but it went fairly quick. I knew they would try to get me to buy the membership. I politely declined. They tried again.. I declined again. Then the girl suggested I look for more games to "save money" cause of a deal they had. I said I would but it was already hard to find age appropriate games as it was. She said "Are you sure, we can help you". I politely declined. Then she kinda leans over the counter to try and point out a game that was something zomboes.. I said thanks, but I don't want my son playing zombie anything. She still tried to persuade me. I was irritated rnouen..so I said fine.grabbed the game and gave it to her. She did apologize and said she just wanted us to take advantage of an extra game for the same cost. I told her it's fine..asked how much..$24 something.. she said.. "oh the zombie one is $9.99!!!!" ((Look lady...since ur the one that pointed out the damn game..I should get at the "deal" price)) take off the zombie game so I can...
Read moreWant well priced preowned games, go here. Also I'll be honest a lot of people have such a negative connotation with preorders but this place always delivers whenever i preorder so I recommend.
Also reviews saying "they don't pick up the phone" are lying, they do. Sure maybe they won't pick up immediately but context matters:
they're helping people at the front desk and usually it's 1 or 2 workers.
some people are calling to ask about SWITCH 2 [time of writing April 28th, 2025 before the console releases]
The workers are really helpful, and reasonable with clear instructions on how they interact being very friendly and realistic when it comes whether an order can be fulfilled. They're human, not robots, treat them as such.
Really love the workers here, one that's always cheery and likes to make people feel good is Stewart/Stuart, not sure how he spells it but he's really helpful, and Amanda as well. Now everyone else who works at this location are also awesome.
Honestly this Gamestop runs better than most others...
