I would give 0 stars if possible. This is the worst community that I've ever lived in. I should have known from the tour that there would be an issue but I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. When showing the model then there were dead bugs all throughout the unit. The place was beautiful other than that so I let it go.
I toured my unit before moving in and it looked great. When I moved in however, looking more closely at the space, it was actually pretty filthy. There were cobwebs everywhere, dirty vents, dirty appliances...It took me a while to move completely in because I was traveling back and forth across the state. When I moved in I noticed this HORRIBLE stench. I think the reason I didn't notice it prior was because the air was on. I turned it off because I was going back to my other home for a few days.
When I came back it just sat in the air choking me. The apartment also was not properly painted. Paint from the walls (and a different color) bled onto the doors, toilets, and railings, etc. I called management to fix the issues. After continuous calling back for over a week to fix the issues they actually gave ME the phone numbers for the painter and cleaning company. I couldn't believe it...
The assistant manager Carrie came to check out the carpet getting down on her hands and knees to smell it. She said that she couldn't smell anything! My family smelled it walking in the door so there was no way that she couldn't unless her sense of smell was completely gone. She told me that the carpet was replaced brand new throughout the unit but would send a company out anyway to shampoo it to make me happy.
Someone came out to check out the carpet while I was at work a couple of days later. Carrie told me that he said that shampooing brand new carpet when there was not even a stain could damage it. They said that they couldnât smell anything anyway and left. I complained again because regardless of the condition of the carpetâŚit STANK! The manager and his assistant came out the next time. The manager told me that he pulled back pieces of the carpet and though the carpet was new, the padding had not been replaced. He showed it to me and it was yellow. When he left the unit to call Carrie and tell her what he found then the assistant told me that he could definitely smell the stench but they werenât allowed to say so. Of course I pushed until this was all taken care of. The painter however, never did properly fix the issues. I let it go because it was minor in comparison to the issues I had previously.
I could go on and on with stories about the other issues, but Iâll just say that repairs took forever to get done and repair orders had to be placed several times before anyone even came out. The walls cracked because the seams werenât properly sealed. There were holes from nails popping out of the walls, there were holes in the entrance door, the window coverings are paper thin, cheap flat paint is used in the apartment so if you even look at the wall then there is a stain (itâs difficult to clean flat paint), the pools stay filthy and are monitored by residents who are often too lazy to open the gates to let you in, the office staff hardly ever answer the phone, etc. etc. etc.
Do yourself a huge favor and either take pictures and document all communication with the company or stay away. There was a switch in property owner several months into my lease and they did not better to take care of the property.
The biggest issue that I have now is that they sent me an outrageous bill to cover the shoddy work and upgrades. I complained about issues the whole time I lived there. All of the issues I had during my lease were items listed on the bill. They are trying to charge ME to fix that mess. Outrageous!!! I tried my best to work with them because I am a single mom and Iâve moved several times to better my and my childâs life. I promised that I would stay for a while to give him stability but I couldnât keep paying these people...
Read moreI said I would never write a review because I give it the benefit of the doubt and am very understanding but here goes my experience. Will be here 1 year at the end of this month and the move in process was stressful. The week before I was suppose to move in they moved me because the old tenant decided last minute to renew they lease. Which was an inconvenience to me because they promised me that apartment. Next day after move in they tried to charge me and increase my rent because they moved me. Since moved in my fridge didnât work. My food was always warm. They came 3 times to âfixâ it. On the 3rd time they told me it was cold. But why is my butter melted ? And have mold in fruits I just bought? Breastmilk went bad Nothing in the freezer stayed frozen. After that they said they will get me a fridge from another apartment. I went 3 weeks almost 4 without a fridge. In total 3 months without a working fridge which caused all my food to go bad and lost money and they said oh well itâs a lost cause which made me feel like they didnât care about me nor my kids.
I had my baby unexpectedly so I was out and was short on my rent and they tried to evict me did not give a damn. Try going to the office and Kaci got real buck with me. Talked to Blanca and she was helpful. Fast fwd to another situation I spoke to Blanca on the phone and her voice started to get irritated so I wanted to speak with someone else and she laughed at me and said there was no one else. Nicole to the rescue! She came in and was very helpful.
Pest control apparently came and my house wasnât prepared and got charged. I emailed them letting them know I was not going to pay because I didnât receive a letter on my door. And they said it was there it probably blew away but I wasnât aware.
My tub been peeling since I moved in and they said that they couldnât fix it until pest control came in first. But when I had my newborn and we were getting bite up they didnât care they took they sweet time to get in contact with pest control Update : they painted over it and itâs hard to clean my tub because of the paint. Still peeling
Basically you canât ask questions and make sure you understand the answer without them getting smart and ignoring you until itâs time to pay They try to take me out my character and I try to keep it cool and like I said give them the benefit of the doubt
The maintenance people are A1 though and super nice ! Ivy put my new fridge in and it was the time he was suppose to be getting off work. Thank you đ
But I feel with proper training, communication skills and customer service experience this could be a lovely...
Read moreI have lived at Creekside at Taylor since early 2016 when they were Crawford Hoying and they are now Monarch. This place was okay back then, rent was high but reasonable and there was recycling service for residents.
When Monarch (the new company) took over everything went downhill: They lost my lease and my rent was hiked and the lady at the office told me the rent was hiked to improve the place. Trash went from $10 to $15 - Recycling was also eradicated from the community. I asked why? I was told because there were fewer people using the recycle service. Well, that is very odd because, I used to see bags out on collection days every time. Why the lie? Its sad to see Creekside at Taylor Station is such a big community but not a green community for those who care about the environment we live in. This is a service that used to be there and was taken away. Right now, I pile up recycle in a huge bag and drive to a recycling drop off just because I am used to recycling. I have been paying for alarm service which has NEVER worked since the beginning of time in this apartment. I have asked the folks at the office to take it out of my rent and for 2 years they have been lying to me that they are working on a contract with the alarm company.
I beg to ask, how long does it take to cook a contract? To be honest, how can you misinform a resident to this extent? Just because I have a non working alarm in my house, I was told since it is in my house I have to pay for it. The thing has never worked since I moved here in 2016 to date (16th May 2018). I still call to ask and I am told they are working on it; however, I am forced to pay $16 for alarm. So far since I moved in I have paid almost $400 for alarm service I have never received. This is sham!
Monarch/ Creekside at Taylor Station has ripped me off for two good years in an undesirable manner. I would like management to reconsider things like this. I am writing this today because I have reached the point where enough is enough. $400 is not money being collected under trees, its money that has been worked for.
I love my apartment but management is horrible and sham. I advise anyone looking to move to this place to read the reviews regarding management and know what you will be getting yourself into.
Olga at the leasing office has been the most helpful person I have encountered when I moved in. Other than that, I am thinking twice about...
