I completely understand being busy on Cinco de Mayo, but come on. We were sat immediately, but had no server for over 30 minutes. Finally she came and got our drink order, and they came out pretty quickly however I had to ask twice for water. She brought a refill for soda at our table but it tasted and looked very watered down. After she took our food order, another waiter came by to confirm the order for my son?? Another half hour before we got our food. Half the food was already cold and despite asking for chicken for one order, beef was given instead. The food was good overall at least. The best part is we had to go to the front desk after waiting 45mins for our waitress to even come check on us. Never did. Saw her go to other tables multiple times while we waited, and couldn’t even flag her down because she never came near our table and it was extremely loud. I was told by the gentleman up front he had no control over that, which again I understand being busy plus recently opening, but I’ve never had such poor service. He found our waitress and after giving our check she tried to run off while I was trying to pay. The ladies at the table next to us had to go to the bar to get their drinks and even place their food order. It was nice hearing about this restaurant opening a location closer to home, but we’ll just drive to the Canal location from now on if that’s how customers are going...
Read moreI came to Las Margaritas Factory and ordered the Al Pastor tacos. They were alright—not bad, but nothing memorable. The interior of the place is impressive; it’s clear they put a lot of money into the decorations, and it does have a nice vibe.
The service, however, left a lot to be desired. No one came by to check on me, ask if the food was okay, or see if I needed anything. Most of the staff speak very little English, which made communication difficult. I also came for Taco Tuesday, but there was no clear signage or information about whether they even offer a deal for that.
The menu was frustrating to read. All the font is the same size, and the items just run into each other, making it hard to tell where one ends and another begins. It really needs to be better organized.
Lastly, the prices here are very high for what you get. With so many other restaurants offering similar food at better prices and with better service, I’ll likely go somewhere...
Read moreHas been open about 6 months so excited to try a new venue. Walking in met with bright festive decor . The music contributes to a fun vibe. Service was good. When I go to a New Mexican restaurant in order to compare I always order a shredded beef chimichanga. ( I always leave off the cheese sauce and just pot on some salsa). The chips tasted like grocery store chips without much flavor. Salsa was passable. My chimi had a little bit of shredded beef but mostly big unappetizing chunks of beef that were hard to chew. Also lacked flavor. My husbands enchiladas had huge chunks not shredded also. The floor was plain old concrete but I saw skids of tile so hopefully they will put in a beautifully colored tile floor. Honestly Columbus has so many really good Mexican restaurants that LMF is going to have to bring on the flavor and serve what is described on the menu if they want to...
