Beehive Cut & Color Bar — Attraction in Walla Walla

Sad to give this review as I saw other people in the salon getting beautiful hair cuts. I showed up to my appointment on time, but had to leave after waiting 30 minutes. I asked how much longer at the 20ish minute mark, and got a generic 5 more minutes. However, after double that time, i left. Didn't even really get acknowledged for waiting so long. It was a disappointing experience.

Edit for clarity and fairness: I want to give credit where it’s due, so I’m including the business’s response below this comment rather than deleting my original review. The salon itself is beautiful, and I was greeted and offered refreshments upon arrival. However, while I was acknowledged at the front, someone did watch me sit and wait for over 20 minutes before I asked about the delay. After being told it would be five more minutes, I continued waiting well beyond that without any additional communication.

To clarify another point from their response: I did not receive any follow-up message or call after my appointment. That said, I did see clients leaving with gorgeous haircuts, so I don’t believe the quality of the work is the issue here. I was just really disappointed in the lack of communication and follow-through during my visit.

I saw Tina in February 2023. I asked for a trim & to have my hair returned from blonde to my natural color (light brown) which was showing 2+ inches at the roots. She dyed my hair such a dark black that it looked blue-- friends even assumed the blue was intentional. She said it would fade into brown, acknowledging that it was NOT my hair color, but that didn't happen. It took a year to grow out to its natural color, and the darkness of the dye made lightening it at other salons impossible. Additionally, I have curly hair and was assured on the phone that Tina had experience with curls. However, she brushed my hair completely straight to cut it, meaning that the haircut ended up uneven and inaccurate to how my hair normally sits. At the end of the appointment, she charged me 220 dollars without ever discussing a price estimate, even after dying my hair the wrong color. I’ve been going to Anna Biddiscombe for my cut and color for over 4 years now! I found her at her previous little salon through a referral of someone who’s blonde hair looked amazing.

I was incredibly grateful to find Anna so quickly after moving to the area because it can be hard to trust someone new with your hair. Anna has always been very attentive to listening to what my hair goals are and the direction I’m wanting to go with it. I’ve always been happy with my cut and color results!!!

She has truly been a huge piece of the puzzle for me to reach my hair goals!! I appreciate how she’s very detail oriented, makes the appointments relaxing with a nice head massage during the shampoo, and is fun to talk to or is fine with not talking when that’s what I’m in the mood for!
