I was referred to Doreen Gramlich at Avalon Tile by my contractor who is doing a total house renovation, including kitchen and bathrooms in a newly purchased house. To date, working with Doreen has been the easiest and most productive task with the best results. Doreen has a very calm and measured approach to solving problems. She answers phone calls and returns answers to any questions promptly. She never once displayed frustration or weariness with my inability to make decisions quickly and was accommodating to second thoughts and changes of my mind. Welcoming and friendly, she was always willing to listen to my suggestions, likes and dislikes, then would gently guide me to better choices that made better sense and me happier in the long run. Doreen has a real gift for seeing color, patterns and style. An artist! Her detailed hand drawings were extremely helpful in allowing me to vizualize the final result. She knows in her mind what is needed to complete a 'picture' and is knowledgeable about where to promptly find the right samples in the store. It is easy to find tile that you like given so many beautiful choices. The trick is finding products that you like AND fit your budget. Do they have good products yes....get your products and do not let them install anything. I had expensive carpet installed the other day and the guy left carpet pieces everywhere. I mean all over everywhere. Up and down my stairs all over the floor below on the lower level. The installation manager mike said they were going to clean up and they did not. I look outside and they are walking all over my carpet with their shoes. We don’t even wear shoes in the house so why would I want their nasty shoes all over my expensive carpet? It took almost a year to get the carpet installed because we did an entire house remodel and had to keep pushing the date back. So imagine getting your entire steps rebuilt and stained beautifully dark only to have complete idiots mess it up. There are huge nicks and gauges on brand new built thousands of dollars stairs. I can’t believe it. They literally discolored my stairs. Would you believe it took them 3 hours to put carpet in a 17 foot long hallway? THREE HOURS!! I had carpet placed in two bedrooms in an hour and a half by empire. They had no idea what they were doing. I have bought so much stuff from Avalon but I will never let an installer near my house from there. When you walk into a house and see how beautiful it is common sense would tell you to be careful. Don’t waste your time or money on their window treatments. Overpriced & terrible customer service. There is no manager to resolve issues in person, over the phone, or via email. We have been trying to get Hunter Douglas roller shades installed for over 4 months. They were very quick to collect our deposit, but blinds were defective the 1st time and damaged the 2nd. Still waiting to get our bedroom blinds installed for the 3rd time! We were scheduled between 9:30 and 10:30 AM today and installer never showed. Meanwhile, we keep getting notices to pay balance. Original salesperson never mentioned a valance or panel to block light. They are not room darkening as promised and salesman no longer works in store. Not to mention that the blinds came with a hole in it and crinkled up so light wakes us up at 5AM. I gave 1 star to the kind saleslady Kathleen Dougherty and beautiful showroom. Kathleen is the only one that seems to care and offered some suggestions, but unfortunately we cannot recommend Avalon Flooring of Warrington.

Update: Blinds were installed properly this morning. The Installer from Hunter Douglas was apologetic and swamped. The store manager (Ron) called me today to address our concerns & make sure that we were satisfied. We are happy that the our April project is complete and Ron turned this...
