This review is written from the perspective of someone who just goes to the gym to work out and has been going for the year long contract they signed up for. This gym costs $25 a month for a year long contract (not a complaint about price simply stating) and when comparing to other gyms at a similar price tag this is terrible, nearly all of the machines are very old and the rubber on the handles are ripped up and torn apart. So when you grab it you get a very sticky and hard to wash off adhesive stuck on your hands and god forbid your clothes. They also put a sign up front that says in all caps āPUT YOUR WEIGHTS BACK WHEN YOURE DONE ITS CRAZY WE HAVE TO SAY THIS!!!ā These machines are old and requiere you to bring the weight plates to them in order to use them, on the incline chest press Iām moving 90lb with each arm, so thatās a total of 180lb I need to haul 30 feet to the machine and then Iām expected to bring them back to the weight rack spot. If the gym had multiple weight racks instead of just one, or each machine had the bare minimum of having a good amount of weight on them this wouldnāt be an issue. This brings me on to my next issue with this gym, the cleanliness. It is understaffed and most of the gym is pretty dusty and borderline disgusting. Areas like treadmill cupholders, machines in corners, and most stuff in this gym are never cleaned. Every time I walk into the bathroom its a mess, and half the time you walk in both paper towel trash cans will be full, the paper towel dispenser will be empty, and most of the sinks will be out of soap. Their hours are also reduced during the summer time (8pm on close Fridays, 5pm close on Saturdays, and 4pm close on Sundays) and I really wish that was highlighted when I signed up. The only good thing I can think of about this gym is that thereās a pretty girl at the front selling protein shakes/snaks. Overall I cannot think of any reason why this gym is worth $25 a month and the business owner is a cheapskate that doesnāt want to hire enough people. For the same price you could go to planet fitness and get a membership that includes massage chairs, sauna, jet message, bring a friend etc + you can go to any planet fitness in the country. This gym is realistically worth 7$ a month in its current state. Again this is written by someone who just goes to the gym to workout, if you are someone who wants to go to the gym and make a friend (especially if youāre 55+) then I think this is a solid option. Other than that itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI initially liked this gym because there are a lot of serious folks here who are here to work out. 4 power racks, plus a deadlift platform. they have a belt squat and other racks that not every gym has. You can work out, powerlifting, and/or bodybuilding as they have everything you need.
The last 4-6 months, the gym has gone downhill. Machines break and are not repaired. A lot of the power equipment has handles that are torn and get your hands sticky and disgusting. 40% of the cardio machines are broken, and they donāt put a sign on them, you have to find out for yourself. IF and a big IF there is someone behind the counter, they will never leave to clean refill paper towels, bathroom soap, etc. and after 14 months, I have never once seen 2 people working at once. There is barely enough room to stretch and do abs, and now the owner has installed a boxing ring that no one uses. This is a full size ring and takes up a huge amount of space. My guess is the owner is having cash flow problems, and the guys who want to run the boxing classes are paying for the space. Short term solution as the rest of the facility is falling apart. Bad situation because this really could be a great gym with a little TLC. Update August 2025- spoke to employees about broken/damaged equipment. Nothing happens. New owner is never there- two owners and neither of them are ever behind the counter. Still over filled garbage, non working toilets, and no soap or paper towels. This is like a book on how to run a gym out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been a member here a while now. I like this gym because of the variety of equipment. It has things like squat racks, belt squat, and some hammer strength equipment that is hard to come by in commerical gyms. They also have a good number of cable machines.
That's about where the good ends. It has taken a dive since the ownership change, but even before that it wasn't great.
The place is filthy and dilapidated. The bathrooms are rarely clean or functional. One urinal is always out of commission and the other leaks. Toilets are never cleaned (there's been an orange Cheeto sitting next to the toilet for going on 7 months now).
The equipment is generally okay, but some of it is in rough shape. Handles are missing or bars to the leg extension are extremely bent. A good portion of the cardio equipment is out of order. There's always a machine broken. They refused to fix a clip on the belt squat machine (and are still using a sub optimal clip today).
The conversion of the turf area into a boxing ring seems like a big miss. A lot of work and equipment went into a space that isn't utilized. It would have been better spent upgrading or fixing the current equipment (or making sure there paper towels to wipe machines down).
Overall, this gym has become a miss for me. I only continue because of the people and lack of options, but it isn't ever a first choice for me anymore....
