Terrible experience. I typically donât even leave reviews if I have a bad experience because I like to give the benefit of the doubt and support local businesses- especially those owned by womenâŠBUT⊠this was so so so BAD.
I came in with a gel set done by Tracy- who did a great job on my nails the first time I visited Lilly Nails and when I arrived I asked for Tracy again. They were busy and I was a walk in, but I was happy to wait since I didnât have an appointment.
Lilly, the owner, âgreeted meâ- which was really more of a snide acknowledgment that I had walked in and was seeking help.
After waiting for around 45 minutes, eventually Lilly came to get me and ask what I needed done. I wanted to switch to a dip powder moving forward and she all but rolled her eyes at me.
Typically you need to drill the top layer of polish off if you plan to soak off a full set.
Lilly did not file or drill the gel but had me sit with my hands in acetone for over an hour. At one point I was so physically uncomfortable that I had to take a break to stretch my back and fingers and my skin was getting irritated by the acetone. Lilly walked by and barked at me to put my hands back in the acetone!
When she finally came to get me (not Tracy as I asked for), she was very rude and barely spoke to me.
She asked if I had even kept my hands soaking because the gel hadnât soaked offâŠI refrained from saying that they would have if she had filed off the top coat.
At that point she became rather rough with my nails, ripping 4 of my natural nails by going too quickly with too much force. She had to add tips on those nails to match my other hand and when I noted that several were crooked she snapped at me âIâm not finished!â
When she did finish, the nails were still crooked, the dip was thick and lumpy and the shape was very wide/square when I had asked for a short/tapered coffin.
She didnât ask if I liked them or even look at me. She quickly put a few drops of cuticle oil on my right hand, then handed off the bottle to her son who appeared to be in middle school and he drizzled a bunch of oil all over my left hand and asked me to come to the register to pay.
I was GOBSMACKED when the total was $87.00!
I paid and left a very small tip and almost cried from frustration when upon seeing my nails my boyfriend even commented on how bad they were.
I cannot recommend this placeâŠif you have to go there, do NOT go to Lilly.
Tracy was good and I have heard good things about Mason and Marvin but I will never set foot back in this place...
Read moreToday I took my girls to Lilly's Nail salon to get acyrlics. I have to say that they have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. They called beforehand to check the price and they were quoted $25. The first one to get her nails done asked for a fill-in and three gems on both of her ring fingers. According to the listed price and what she was told the gems would cost, she should have been charged $28 but they charged her $40. When we inquired about the price difference they said it was because they used gel. My girl never asked for gel nor did they ask her if she wanted it. They just assumed that that's what she and all of the other girls wanted without asking - absolutely absurd! Two of the other girls had nails that were uneven lengths and bent weird. Their nails were shaped poorly and the skin around their nails were a mess and very sore. The man who did the last girl's nails made three of her fingers bleed - she almost cried because it hurt so bad. They were not painted far enough down and look grown out already. Some of her nails are noticeably uneven. Also, one of her nails became loose when he was working on them and he just ripped the acyrlic off. The polish on the nails looked grown out when we left and light at the ends. They overpaid for a rip off nail salon that we will never come to again. I advise you to not get your nails done at...
Read moreLilly has been my nail tech since the birth of her son. I go there for the environment, the cleanliness, the caring, professionalism. Lilly is sweet, only employees those that work as she does, her English is great. Don dud my Pedi today, he was gentle and very professional. I have witnessed peeps trying to get over on Lilly or try get something for free. Don't come back after several days of picking at your nails and ask for a refund that is just dumb and mean. I watched Lilly do stuff for customers at no charge all the time and not mistakes ....one lady was having surgery and needed a nail took off for the oxygen tip, Lilly did it no charge. Lilly is a single mom trying to make a living. Ease up peeps be nice, she is smart and educated. Have a problem tell her and remember all businesses get bad or less than sufficient employees at times.....have a heart and be kinder. Lilly has a full crew and we want them to stay so lets give tgem some business. The talent is unmatched by any salon in Haywood County. I support women in business and especually a single mom. Some of these comments are down right mean and just ridiculous. 6 years and a broke nail which was my fault, never a bad experience ever....get compliments galore on my nails always!!! Love Lilly...
