I wouldn't have even given one star if it were an option. That is how I feel at this very moment anyway. I want to be as fair as I can. I realize their store is their livelihood but it kind of hurts when they don't care about what might be fair for you. My personal experience as of today is that they take a very one sided view at Hidden Treasures. Prior to today I had always had a good experience at this store. Been a customer for years whether they remember me or not. Unfortunately today for the very first time I had an issue that I dared to ask if they would work with me on but they shut me down real quick with a "sorry all sales are final" line. The item never left the store but because the register door closed their answer was an unapologetic no. The item was a storage closet. I liked it and I paid for it but when two sales clerks at the store and myself couldn't budge it I raised an eyebrow. It was as heavy as a gun safe. Then, about the time I noticed the weight issue the clerk had a problem opening the left cabinet door. I raised the other eyebrow but I kept saying to myself, you made the purchase. You are stuck with a piece of furniture that takes several men to move and the left door may not work. On top of this, my husband (whom I had to call to help with my predicament) was stuck in stand still traffic on I-45 due to an accident. I just had a heavy feeling about the whole thing. So, I decided maybe I would just go talk to the sales clerk to see if I could cancel the purchase. He said if I couldn't get it today I could come back later but their policy is "all sales are final". I wasn't even an hour into the purchase and again, the piece never left their building but the answer was a flat no. And, I have to laugh because as I wrap up this review I hear my husband's frustration trying to figure out if he can fix the door. So- good people, I leave you with this advice. If you still choose to shop at this store- just remember they will greet you with a smile until the cash register door closes. I just don't feel good about shopping at a place with this mentality. They only care about a...

My experience consigning furniture with Hidden Treasures left me thoroughly frustrated and disappointed. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a nightmare of unfulfilled promises and unprofessional behavior.
Initially, I chose to consign my furniture with them because I believed they would handle the process efficiently and professionally. However, my expectations were shattered from the start.
Firstly, they assured me that my furniture would sell quickly, citing their extensive customer base and marketing efforts. Months passed, and my items remained unsold, despite their initial promises of a swift turnaround. The lack of transparency and communication regarding the status of my consigned pieces was concerning.
When I inquired about the progress, I received vague and unhelpful responses from the store's staff. It seemed like they were more interested in signing new consignment contracts than in fulfilling their commitments to existing consignors.
To make matters worse, when my furniture finally sold, the payout was significantly lower than what I had been led to expect. The store's commission fees were exorbitant, and their explanation for the deductions left me feeling cheated.
Attempting to address these issues with them only added to my frustration. They were unresponsive to my concerns, dismissive of my questions, and seemed uninterested in resolving the problems they had caused.
In conclusion, my experience consigning furniture with Hidden Treasures was marked by unfulfilled promises, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone considering consigning with this store to explore other options that value transparency, fair compensation, and respectful customer service. My hope is that by sharing my experience, others can avoid the disappointment and...
Read moreI liked this store. I have sold furniture through them and i have made purchases. However, as of today, I will no longer have dealings with them. I made tentative arrangements to have some furniture picked up for sale. I told them I would let them know if I managed to find help in getting the furniture there without a pickup. The pick up was NOT cheap. I made other arrangements to deliver the furniture and called to cancel the scheduled pick up. Since I did not give them at least 48 hours notice, the expectation was that I was still responsible for the cost and if I delivered the furniture they wouldn't take it for at least a week. They could take it immediately if they picked it up but not for at least a week if I deliver? Makes no sense .Even when I told them I was not told about the 48 hour notice, she didn't care. It will take more effort, on my part, to sell the furniture but they will not get my...
