We stopped by Lucky Wok before heading over to the Scout Bar to see Hysterimania perform. We walked in, and we're greeted with straight faces by the two young employees behind the counter and a male adult sitting in a far corner booth, who appeared to be an owner. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and house lo mein, and it was prepared quickly and came out hot and fresh, which was great as we were in a hurry to make the show. The place is older, and it shows it's age, and the color scheme and decor certainly does not invoke the tone and taste of Asian cuisine. Thr restrooms were clean, but they are old, rusty, and dingy, and in need of repair or updating. But the food was great - not spectacular, but filling and well-portioned for the price. About half-way through our meal, the owner (female) came out and greeted us and asked how the food was and if we needed anything more. She was very pleasant and compensated for the others on her crew that seems less than enthusiastic at our presence.
We never come out this way, but if we are ever in the area again for some reason, maybe a visit to Nasa, we would not hesitate to stop by for...
Read moreHeard a lot of good reviews on this place about portion sizes and taste. But in my faithful and good opinion this place is below average as far as taste is concerned. Me and my wife ordered some food to go and we were displeased at the Quality of the food that we had ordered. We ordered General Chicken and chicken lo mein which they both came with fried rice and one order came with a small portion of sweet and sour chicken. The general chicken overall wasn't bad and taste it was average but it was soggy to say the least there was too much juice in the general chicken which made it soggy. The rice was Bland the chicken lo mein was blind and missing the flavor that were used to. Sweet and sour chicken was of cheap quality this all seems very artificial and mediocre in flavor. In my opinion as well as my wife's opinion this place is below average but if you're looking for Chinese food that is inexpensive and you're willing to bypass the good quality and taste that Chinese food should have then I...
Read moreI've been coming here for years and it is by far my favorite place to get real Chinese takeout they give you a lot of food. Everything's done fresh so what I really suggest to do is call in and then leave about 15 minutes after you call the order in and you're not waiting. But I never remember to do that. Honestly this place is so affordable but also the food is so fresh and good. I don't think there's a single thing that they sell that I don't love. I highly recommend this place if you're wanting to get something good but you're not wanting to go out. Also too if you're at one of the hotels and you want to bring this back to your hotel this is the best choice. The food is just really good and you're not going to regret it. Take your mind it's all made fresh so nothing's waiting they're making it to order so that's going to take some time be patient it's worth it. I never leave out of their spending less than about $100 but that's because weird little little piggies and we like...
