🌟Edit: I have been to the new location multiple times and I love it! The employees are really nice and friendly and really seem like they enjoy their job. There's more of a selection in the kpop area and the music they play is a wide variety. I'm so happy for Violet to have it's own stand alone store and I think it's doing really well! 🌟 I love that there is a local kpop store to go to near me. However, I've noticed that most of the merch is just bts and I feel like each time I go it grows more and more. I would like to see more merch for other groups, especially girl groups. Speaking of girl groups, they rarely play their music in the store. When a song of a girl group comes on the tv, the employees immediately skip it. They are abusing the fact that they can play anything they like, instead of what the customers would like to hear. It's a kpop store, play all of kpop not just the boy groups you like. I have shopped at the other two locations and this is the only location that chooses to only play what they like instead of being all inclusive. Most of the employees are nice and I like that they greet you and offer a basket as you walk in but lately they have been acting like the store is their home and can do as they please. This last visit, they were even shouting at each other from across the store. Its unprofessional and makes the customers uncomfortable. I understand having fun at the job but not to the point where employees are laughing at something that is making the customers feel like they are laughing at them. There is one employee in particular that I've seen talked about in other reviews. She is the loudest of the group and is the one who encourages the others to play around. Then when you go up to her at the register she acts like you're an inconvenience for shopping there. I would love to shop at this location more and even tell more kpop fans to shop there but I hesitate because of how I am treated as a nusance...
Read moreUpdate: Supervisor and I talked to each other and he preseted several options to resolve our situation. They are making changes to ensure this does not occur and I truly appreciate their efforts and willingness to help me and my daughter!!! Previous situation: I am a parent of a teenager who loves K-pop. I have learned to love and appreciate the genre. Violet Store has been one of our favorites, but today, we had a misfortune situation with their new photo booth, which I want to believe could be provided by a secondary providor that is trying to bring a new feature to the store. The machine takes credit cards and cash (but does not provide cash back). That being said, and to be fair, the machine does have signs stating this fact. Yet it displays that it can take bills up to $20 dls. Based on the assuption that we where not going to receive change and we had no smaller bills we intended to spend the full amout in different sets of pictures, but the machine did not display credit after taking the first set. My daughter works hard at her school and choirs to earn money to spend it at Violet, and I work hard to make ends meet, and we both feel ripped off by the machine. My daughter lost $12. When I prompted the employee, they did not grasp my perception of misinformation, and I am sure this will happen to other folks. This machine is new, and this will happen again. Do not use cash on this machine. Use your...
Read morei have been shopping at violet since they were in the baybrook mall, i love the store i mainly went to the store in the past for sanrio, but recently i got into kpop so i stopped by violet to purchase some albums the first time i went i purchased two TXT albums sealed when i got home and opened them one of the two was missing the photo card, i thought it was just a manufacture mistake and i wasn’t happy but i wasn’t extremely mad, so i went again and bought two more different albums, i went with a friend and after we went to a local coffee shop to get some food and open the albums together, when i opened mine there was no photo card AGAIN i was mad this time two times in the same week and on different albums did i not get a photo card, buying the albums the whole reason is to get the photo card so i was not happy, i called violet and told them what happend, they said there was nothing they could do, that it was the manufacturers fault, which i understand but this is so frustrating, especially when you spend $25+ on an album to not get what you want , personally i will not shop for kpop albums from violet again, i’d rather drive 45 minutes to houston to get my kpop albums for cheaper and ones that actually come with what they are...
