After a prolonged, years-long flirtation with and desire to delve into the intriguing world of yoga, I was absolutely delighted to find the opportunity to catch a Saturday a.m. Class with instructor Robin; following a suggestion from friends (both male and female). What an absolutely wonderful experience this was. While the class was challenging in all the positive ways, it also remained an absolutely warm and welcoming environment for a beginner who couldn't replicate ALL the poses perfectly quite yet (though I endeavor to in proximity). The music and energy of the entire 90 minutes oscillated seamlessly from serene, meditative and spiritual to upbeat intensity and most everything in-between. The instructor was more like a guide and it was very, very clear how much effort and work was put into the class, tonality, feel and refreshing gear shifts. The studio appears small yet the community they have created envelopes everyone who walks through the doors. The instructors are a wealth of knowledge, personable and they each provide a unique perspective on the philosophy and practice of yoga. Read moreI have been wanting to try yoga for a while, so when my wife joined Barefeet Yoga, I decided to take the plunge. After the first few weeks, I am pleasantly surprised. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. There are a lot of classes with different levels of difficulty from morning all the way to late in the evening. I especially liked the candlelight yoga that starts off a bit intense, by slows it down and lets you really focus on breathing.
